Deux Ex wasn't considered for being last gen (other than the new one, which, while good, wasn't a finalist for consideration).

We looked into MGS4 trailers, but most of them were more along the lines of demos and cutscenes. We tried to stay with traditional trailers. If we expanded it to demos and custscenes, the Raiden trailer from MGS4 where he fights Vamp would have definitely made the list.
Agreed, however we considered that really a cinematic instead of a trailer (if that's the one you're referring to?)
Yeah, MK is going to be a great fighter that brings the series back to form.
I rather enjoyed ODST's campaign. It played well and it was a good story. The weapon balance was a bit off (took way too many rounds to drop a Brute), but it was a fun game.
There's more staying power with Halo: Reach for me than Halo 3. The multiplayer is much more robust with matchmaking Firefight and cool objective-based modes and Invasion. I have a feeling I'll stick with Reach for quite a while.
Yeah I looked at the Spartan armor for Reach and couldn't believe they were charging 400 MS Points for it. $5 for avatar clothes is insane.
They aren't smaller as of yet. Version 3.42 was still a full size download. It's theoretically possible for them to make the updates smaller, but they have not implemented that system in production PS3 environments as of yet.
If Master Chief is in the game, will you be able to play as him or will you continue to be Noble 6? I'm sure people will get pissy if they can't play as Master Chief. Personally, I'm good either way. I just want to fire up the game soon.
Balancing is going to the key issue here. You can't have Ryu's EX Shoryuken being way overpowered or a massive combo from Kazuya Mishima doing an insane amount of damage. That's my big concern.
I had 2 of them already through actually buying Dr Pepper, but just grabbed the other ones so I now have all 4. Good stuff
My hope is that developers got all the "tech demo" games out of their system on the Wii and solid titles come out from the start for the Move.
The game is beyond epic. Must buy for all gamers. If you don't own a PS3, buy one now.

I think it has less to do with a Beta than having the game simultaneously on PC, giving modders/hackers much easier access to the game code for manipulation. Most if not all of the MW2 hacks stemmed from PC hackers moving the code over to consoles.
As the author of the article, I can say 100% that I do not read IGN (almost ever, as I don't agree with most of their opinions and reviews). The article was based off my own thoughts after reading the press release from Sony regarding the Killzone content in PlayStation Home.
