The game looks and plays great. I just wish the online implementation was done a lot better. It also makes my Wii sound like a jet engine reading from both layers of the DVD.
Tuxedo t-shirts are usually right up there too. Sadly, one of them was not included. Hah
As someone who played baseball for 20 years (high school, college, semi-pro) and coached for 6 (so far), I can tell you that MLB 2K8 is not near real baseball. Go play MLB 08 The Show, then make an informed decision. The Show is by far the most realistic baseball game ever made
Really wasn't impressed with 2K8. The framerate is really bad and the game is more arcade than sim. I'll stick with The Show this year
Yeah that person at Gamestop couldn't be any further from the truth. MLB 2K8 is much more of an arcade experience than MLB 08 The Show.
I've been playing baseball for a long time now, with 5 years pitching for semi-pro (not counting college ball). MLB 08 The Show is easily the most realistic baseball game I've ever played.
Yeah the game is more of an experience than an actual game. It could take you anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours to complete the entire thing. I was hoping it would be cheaper, but $8 is a little steep for what it offers.
That's good advice no matter what. Most wireless networks default to channel 6, which is subject to the most interference.
You could be right. Nintendo is hardcore against piracy, and this update may have patched the hole that was exploited to run homebrew
Yeah I have most of my Patapons upgraded, but it took me way longer than the demo. :)
This is PSP only. No mention of a PSN version, possibly for a sequel. To play your PSP on your TV, you need a PSP Slim and the TV cables
Wow 2 blue Yumipon from the demo? Did you just redo the hunting level and the tree a ton?
Interesting. I haven't tried playing it on my TV yet. I'll have to give it shot later tonight...
That's a good question, and I'm not sure how that will work. From the tons of games I've played online, I've probably only seen 2-3 intentional walks (this was in 2K7). Most people just want to come right at you.
Yeah I wasn't able to put it down for a few days. My game save shows 16 hours of gameplay so far.
I did not buy the Elite at full price. I paid the cost different between my Premium that had died and the Elite (under the Best Buy replacement plan).
You do know that unplugging the video cable gives 4 red lights, not 3? And if you bothered to read Loot Ninja, you'd see a hell of a lot of praise and criticism for every console, as there should be
My consoles are babied. Each has it's own shelf, fully ventilated from the front and rear. I even went so far as to put a thermometer on the shelf of the Xbox 360, and it's not hot at all.
I've also never had a problem with the original Xbox, PS2, PS3, and Wii that are hooked up. My PS3 and Wii get equal amounts of play time as the 360 and I haven't had any problems there.
If you read the article, you'd know I have the Best Buy warranty, meaning I haven't paid for replacement consoles. It's not like I've gone out and bought 9 of these
I was surprised how hard the levels got in the game. But you're right, dying in this game is fun with the rag doll physics
Yeah hopefully Alienware looks into these issues and does a little more QA on these high-end gaming laptops. I'd be very pissed if I shelled out $3k or more and the thing overheats and cracks
