I just wish the game had online play. I'd love to play more than just the AI.
You're right, it's only $10. But a lot of people aren't going to throw down $10 for a game that they have no idea about. This is especially true from the casual gaming perspective
Yeah, demos would be key. I saw an interview with Eric Lempel, director of the PSN, who said they don't force developers to make demos for downloadable titles. But for any Sony first party stuff, I would expect a demo, and we aren't really getting that.
Yeah there's never really any deep single player in an Unreal Tournament game. Some of the Unreal games that have been strictly single player have been good, but the campaign in UT3 is basically there to get you ready for online play.
Most engaging? Far from it. For me, the God of War demo on PSP is way more engaging then Conan. Yeah, a PSP demo.
Just to clarify, this news story was in no way intended to be a comparison of the games themselves or the platforms for which they were developed. It is simply to point out the coincidence of the two characters looking similar.
I know this isn't going to stop any flame wars, but just wanted to throw that out there.
I can confirm that all of these cars ARE in the game. You can unlock them by playing the game normally. These "add-on" packs are 100KB each, and basically are cheat codes to unlock the cars without having the play the game.
Whoops. My bad :(
The game will ship with 50 levels and a creator tool. Sony is currently working on a way to share user created levels on the PSN.
I can tell you that I wanted to throw the controller a few times at some of the levels
Yeah, I've put in so many hours in previous Hot Shots Golf games. This one looks to be just as addicting, especially with the downloadable characters and courses that will be released for a while after launch
Last year, MLB 07 was the best looking baseball title on the market. the NBA series isn't the best graphically, but it's right up there with NBA Live and the 2K series
Resistance was released last year at PS3 launch in North America. Lost Planet was released in January 2007.
This is not a demo. The Gran Turismo series has had Prologue games in Japan for a few iterations now. Basically, the Prologue gives you about 70 cars and 5 reversible tracks, plus the addition of online play for 16 players and GT-TV. Quite a bit more than a demo. Since it's a not a "full" game, it doesn't get priced like a full game. It will be available at retail and as a download from the PSN for well less a "full" game.
Added all of those plus Forza 2. I'm sure people will just hit disagree here because that's what happens at N4G.
How is this a duplicate story? It was written today and submitted once. Why don't use reports for something meaningful for stories that should be reported
Crysis and Unreal Tournament 3 added to the poll
If there are any other games you think should be added to the list, let me know. It's here to get the community's opinion for Game of the Year, so we want to make sure every game someone wants to vote for is available.
Assassin's Creed was added late. Missed that line in my notes. Sorry
Every replacement Xbox has come from my Best Buy replacement plan. I've gotten new 360's directly from Best Buy every time. Haven't gone through Microsoft for any of them.
I had BioShock going side by side with Uncharted for my Game of the Year choice, but ultimately chose Uncharted because I had more fun with the game. I can't speak for everyone else at the site.
