wow, this is becoming the week for apologies on these forums lol

first microsoft apologizes for faulty consoles, and now sony apologizes for the church ordeal in RFOM...i can't wait to hear what kind of apologies nintendo has up its sleeves to take the spotlight away from microsoft and sony!! lol

okay, how many more stupid articles do we have to read about price cuts for the ps3?? for the past 2 months, there have been articles almost every week about the price cut and it is always the same.

one week, an article comes out saying that sony is thinking about a price cut for the ps3, a few days later an article comes out with sony execs saying there is no planned price cut in the near future....a week later, another article about someone else from sony saying they might p...

you really shouldn't make a comment like:

"One thing though - unless they're improving console builds (65nm etc), they'll still break down at the same percentage. 25-33%"

it is completely wrong, and this is the reason. during th first year of production for the 360, microsoft had 3 manufacturers producing 360's for them.. earlier this year, microsoft "mutually" cancelled the contract with the manufacturer that was rumored to be the one respon...

are you insane???? do you really not remember this or are you just a typical sony fanboy that thinks sony has done no wrong in your blind eyesS??? when the ps2 was launched, it had TONS of faulty dvd drive failures. the ps2 dvd drives were unable to read the purple-backed dvd's, which was a HUGE story back then considering alot of games were made on the purple dye dvd's. and when the problems arose, sony DID NOTHING!!!! they ended up having to go to court over that in a class action laws...

what people are not understandingis that a majority of the failing consoles are ones that were manufactured in the first year. during the first year, microsoft had 3 different companines manufacturing 360's for them. it wasn't until early this year that microsoft had "mutually" cancelled their contract with the manufacturing company that had been rumored to be the one pumping out the most defective consoles.

it will take probably another year before the 360's that a...

and with the pace that the ps3 is on selling around 80,000 per month here in the u.s., do you consider the ps3 as hitting it's mark???

i find it absolutely funny how sony fanboys spew sales numbers even though the ps3 is selling FEWER consoles every month, and it has been out for a shorter amount of time.

what happened to all the hype of "the next gen doesn't start until we say so"?? someone forgot to tell sony that they are supposed to start running...

okay, you just went on a rant and made yourself look stupid....do you not remember how sony missed EVERY SINGLE target they had set for the ps3??? they were supposed to have 2 million at launch..then they "adjusted" that number to 1 million....then they said they had launched with 400,000, and it turned out that they actually launched with about 270,000 units

then sony said it was on track to sell 2 million by christmas, then they had to lower that number, then they ...

they had sold 10.4 million at the end of 2006, let's not start skewing facts, because that would be so out of place from a sony fanboy lol

and how many ps3's did sony sell from january til now?? not more than the 360...so let's keep our heads on straight with the facts

6828d ago 5 agree2 disagreeView comment

yeah but guess what? sold to retailers is EXACTLY how sony counts ps3 sales....so what's your point? try not to point a finger when sony is doing the same thing...makes your comment kind of pointless, no?

also, i will use the same excuse i have read dozens of times from sony fanboys...the 360 has not sold great the first half of this year because they have had almost zero anticipated titles coming out during that time. in early fall, we are seeing Halo3, Blue Dragon, Mass E...

this type of news is something that microsoft is not going to just sit by and take....expect a price drop across the board on the 360's in early fall to help boost sales even more than just Halo3 alone will do

MODDERS ARE LOSERS.....

i hope microsoft bans all the modded consoles. the best would be if they banned all gamertags that were associated with the banned 360's and took away their gamerscores, since most modders cheat in order to get their gamerscores high without actually earning them

6828d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

if this turns out to be true, i think that is is common sense that microsoft is going to start checking broken 360's that get sent in for repairs to make sure they are not modded. plus, if someone gets a modded 360 back after sending in their regular one for repairs, they have proof of the repair.

plus, i HIGHLY doubt that microsoft is going to start handing out modded 360's as refurb's...if their banning policy gets stricter, then you can count on microsoft to check all conso...

no, it is ANY console that has had the 3 red rings of death gets the 3 year warranty coverage

6828d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

this is exactly what i have been trying to tell people. the first year of 360's is where a majority of the bad 360's were manufactured, so now with this warranty it gives microsoft a chance to weed them out when they do fail, and it gives us loyal customers ACTUAL support and FREE repairs on something that has caused more than the typical failure rate..

if only sony had done the same with the ps2 and it's faulty dvd drive.....remember that one sony fanboys?

6828d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

actually, i believe the reason microsoft is extending their warranty to 3 years is that the majority of problematic 360's can be attributed to the consoles produced in the first 12 months. This is when microsoft was using 3 manufacturers for producing the 360...it wasn't until the first quarter of this year that microsoft had announced it had "mutually" cancelled it's contract with one of the manufacturers, which was rumored to be the one that most of the bad 360's came from.

i smell pricecut for all 360's here in the u.s. come early fall.......

6828d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

so you honestly think that socom is going to sell more ps3's than Halo3 will sell 360's??? you really must be on crack, dude. get a reality check, so far the 360 has sold 11 million consoles WITHOUT the release of it's number one franchise game. there are millions of original xbox owners that have not bought a 360 because they are waiting for Halo3 to come out.

and let's get real, there are not going to be more people playing socom on the ps3 than Halo3 on the 360....there a...

i remember that same exact article...kind of funny. it looks like sony once again was completely misleading or blatantly lying about it's sales of the ps3, as if no one would notice. lol

everybody knows that the failure rate for the 360 is higher than normal by quite a bit. i am a huge microsoft fan (won me over with the original xbox) and i currently have a 360. i am still on my original console from December 18, 2005 but i am not going to be one of those people that says that the failure rate is normal, but i am also not going to be one of those people that says the failure rate is at like 33%.

if everyone thinks about this logically, if the failure rate we...

i can't wait for this game to come out. i think it is going to be one of the better co-op shooters out there. it looks pretty cool, plus has some awesome features and moves you can do, so that should add to the overall gaming experience and fun factor
