that really doesn't matter if it did or not. i am nto a fan of ps3 at all, but let's not start throwing stupid flames out there like this.

the basic point here is that the core should be dropped since it doesn't really offer much for $300. you have wired controller and no harddrive, so tha tis a bit pricey. time to drop it, and then put a price drop on the premium and elite in the fall when Halo3 comes out

if they are experimenting on a similar experience like Home, they are not going to raise prices on Xbox Live, that is kind of a ridiculous assumption. i can make the same assumption about Playstation Home, that when it launches, they will actually charge for every litle feature on Home, or even have a base charge just to start up an avatar....yes, i know sony's online network is free (for now), but then again, when was the last time sony said something and it actually turned out to be 100% a...

a price cut doesn't seem to likely if you look at the numbers for sony. if it is currently costing them around $840 to make a ps3, and they are able to knock $100 off of that to bring it down to $740, why would they slash the price of the ps3 to $499? it doesn't seem to make much sense when they are currently losing roughly $240 per console. if they are able to make them cheaper, they are not going to immediately turn around and slash the price since that would only bring them back at a $2...

lets not get ahead of ourselves people. yes, the ps3 can do folding@home better than the 360...funny how sony fanboys ignore facts that the 360 is just as powerful to the ps3 when it comes to GAMING. and yes, that is a FACT from previous articles when they actually compared the processors and the graphics processors for GAMING...and if somehow sony fanboys mysteriously "forgot" about the actual comparison of the components of both systems, here is the article....read it if your he...

a p2p network for a gaming console? hmm, seems awefully familiar...oh yeah, it is the thing that sony fanboys have been ripping on microsoft when it comes to having a p2p network for it's online gaming community. but as usual, i am sure that you fanboys will somehow put a positive spin on this and say that you guys always thought a p2p network was the way to go and that sony is being "innovative" lol......

can't wait to find out how they are going to integrate the d...

hopefully this is true...this game was one of my all-time favorites playing online on the original xbox. i still pop it in once in a while on my 360 to play..not many poeple left playing, but this came out like 2 1/2 years ago, so to find any is still a bonus :)

yes we pay for games to download, but the games on xboxlive cost us about $6-$12 depending on the game

overrated, you really do not understand anything. your exact qoute was "MS are losing money on there games devision so its a failure"....do you NOT UNDERSTAND that microsoft did not enter the gaming industry with a SHORT-TERM business strategy? this has been specifically stated by them when they were getting ready to launch the original xbox. how hard is that to understand?? you really seem to be a bit naive with your comments. if a company comes out BEFORE they enter the gamin...

some of your points i can see where you are coming from, but some you really can't make if you actually look at them. my biggest problem is the build quality issue. people keep bringing that up, but let's think about this. there are over 10,000,000 360's sold (but we'll say that 8,000,000 are actualky sold and the rest are on the shelves). if you take 8,000,000 and apply the typical 5% failure rate for electronics, you end up with 400,000 failed 360's. that looks high, but it is 5%. and...

this is a nother one of those pointless articles by someone that nobody has ever heard of, trying to get his name out there with this article. we have already been over this, and it's been talked to death. microsoft did NOT get into the gaming industry for short-term gain, they went into it with a business strategy that is going to pay off in the long-term. that is why they are tying in the 360 and pc gaming folks, it is all being setup so that microsoft has the largest install base of any...

WHERE WHERE WHERE does it say anything about micrsoft releasing a new xbox system in 2007???? this article says that microsoft applied for a patent for new technology and the writer of the article is SPECULATING of what could be their next console.....POSSIBLY in 2010. I love how you try to make what you consider an "informed" comment, even though the article is right there for people to read and see what it actually says...makes you look more and more foolish. i get a good laugh...

where did you get your "facts" that microsoft lauched 3 systems in a year? they launched ONE system with 2 sku's, JUST LIKE SONY, 16 MONTHS AGO. The Elite is a 360 with some upgrades, and again, it is being launched 16 months AFTER the original launch of the 360.

And it is fangirls like you that PROVE your ignorance and lack of knowledge. it is SONY that launched a revised PS3 in LESS THAN A YEAR!!! Do you recall that sony NO LONGER is providing the ps2 hardware c...

my god, you are an absolute twit, aren't you? you are laughing at microsoft because they are actually thinking AHEAD about what types of technologies and setups they can use for their next console??? are you completely brainless?? do you think that sony does not do the same thing? oh wait, actually they don't, because all they do is use everyone else's technology, then when they get sued for it, they say it is "last-gen"....give me a break.

what microsoft is doing...

these are the supply numbers for EB Games and Gamestop ONLY. there are going to be more supplies at BestBuy, CircuitCity, Walmart, Target, Kmart, etc. Why don't we wait until they actually start selling on the 29th to see what the supply is instead of having a sony fanboy ALREADY throwing in a comment about something that hasn't even come out yet...

Why is it that you are the one that is always posting these absolute stupid remarks without actually thinking first?..HAHAHAHAHA...

yeah i agree with you. although it's great they are going to be able to ramp up production, i hardly see the point at this time due to the PS3 being availalbe to anyone that wants to go to a store and pick it up. it's not like the wii where you can't even find one online other than ebay. the ps3 will sell alot more if they drop the price BEFORE the holiday season. that is the key, only because you don't want to wait until november or december and hope the price drop is enough to get peopl...

well, that's great, you can focus on how great it's doing in japan, and the rest of us will keep track of how the 360 is outselling the ps3 in every other major country...plus, the ps3 is also limping in japan so it's not exactly selling millions there, like sony was banking on....the ps3 is looking in it's rearview mirror, but the problem is that everyone already passed it up lol hahahahahaha plus,. the ps3 can't even outsell it's older last-gen ps2 lol WHAT A JOKE!!!

i thought this was a pretty well-written article that actually did what other so-called analysts failed to do, look at what the actual business strategy of microsoft was when they entered the console gaming industry. all these twits that write articles about how microsoft should quit now because the 360 is losing them money don't really know much when it comes to business models. if microsoft did not know what they were doing, they would not be a multi-billion dollar company. and the most ...

um, maybe you should check your facts about before crapping out some comments. you write that xboxlive is $50/month??? it is $40-$50 PER YEAR (depending on where you buy your subscription card). and anyone that knows anything about online networks, knows that the xboxlive network is better for one very simple fact....10 years from now, i can pop in any game into my 360 and STILL PLAY IT ONLINE with my friends. guess what happens with the ps3 games? once a game is not popular anymore and ...

i'm here, but most of us 360 fans don't really find this news that relevant or worth posting something about. we read the article and see that the 360 sold more than the ps3...again, and so the headline is a bit misleading since i thought i would see some great percentage gain of the ps3...but selling 3,000 more consoles than the previous month (in a 5-week month) is not worth much news, especially when 360 sales declined, but they still sold more than the ps3.

i guess if you ...
