if microsoft specifically said they wanted hd-dvd or blu-ray to win, please provide a link to the actual article with those words being spoken by someone from microsoft (not someone else saying they heard microsoft saying it).
by simply saying "they did...maybe two weeks ago" provides absolutely zero proof. provide an actual link to an article. people too many times make statements about other articles they read somewhere at sometime and expect everyone else to take...

this would be another connection option which tons of people have been asking about...alot of people simply want to connect their 360 to their tv with an hdmi cable so that they can finally use the hdmi connection on their hdtv's lol
also, this cable will allow upscaling of dvd's from the standard 480p...so for the people that don't have a vga connection on their tv, this would be the other option so they can take advantage of the upscaling feature which is available on the 360...
an 8 seems kind of high...i played the demo and wasn't exactly excited about the game after i played around in the demo..granted, the actual game could be much better, but for me this game turned out to be a disappointment so far from what i observed.

you are going to have to buy new joysticks in order to get the rumble feature since there is no rumble inside the current ps3 controllers...get the lube ready since now you have to spend an extra $100 if you want get rumble controllers...
it is absolutely amazing how these sony fanboys BLATANTLY make up things and then they all jump on it and start bashing something that was NOT EVEN MENTIONED in the article. listen up dopes, the article NEVER MENTIONS lag on Gears of War, it SPECIFCALLY states some lag issue swith arcade games and it is caused by the way developers write code for online multiplayer.....get it through your thick skulls! yeah but why would you? that would end up costing you $480 for the core and 120gb harddrive, then you have to spend additional money on this cable...why not just buy the elite since you get pure digital signal, the 120gb harddrive, hdmi cable and wireless accessories all for less money??
seriously dude, you need to do some research instead of going off of your memory on these things.
first off, this doesn't mean that the signal is converted from digital, to analog, to digital again...it is simply being converted from analog to digital....that's it. the 360 outputs an analog signal, and the cable will convert it to digital and send it to your tv in a digital format so the tv doesn't have to convert it.

actually the article specifically states that the cable XCM is working on is going to be ready to ship to retailers in about 4 weeks.....i will probably opt for this option if it is not too expensive instead of getting the microsoft vga cable like i was originally planning

yeah i think i am going to get this also, even though i don't have an hd-dvd player. the simple fact that hd-dvd offers a combo dvd that can be played on hd-dvd players or regular dvd's players is a huge bonus. i can buy a combo dvd now, and wait to get a cheap hd-dvd player in the future, or when cheap combo players come to the masses, i will get one of those since not all movies are on both formats, so the only way to get all the movies you like is to get both hd-dvd and blu-ray players......
