Why would the PS3 need DivX? Ive been told that its powerful enough that it doesnt need cut scenes to be more efficient/reduce heat (wouldnt be substantial). I was also told that blu-ray meant it didnt need much compression, I guess what these people told me was wrong?

Edit to below: Nope, wouldnt waste my money on it. One of my friends has it though (the only person i know with one...weird as i go to a tech school). Its alright, nothing much better then the 360. So ill stick with the console the developers like. If theres anyone who knows how to keep devs happy its Microsoft (look at Visual Studio if youre a software developer :) )

How can you accurately measure graphics with a pixelated version? These are always stupid, stop comparing graphics and enjoy your games. Not everything is graphics. Its not like you constantly have 2 tv's beside each other checking whats better. Honestly, the more picky you are about this the less you will enjoy the games, as it is all you will notice. Concentrate on having fun.

I play about 5 hours a day on my gaming platforms, but ya...im casual. I have Zelda and Resident Evil 4, both being better then ANY game on the PS3. They ARE innovative and do bring something new to the table. Good luck with your no games and overpriced console.

No, it doesnt need to be done. This is why i hate the Blu-ray association and Apple. They both attack their opposition. Microsoft may do it, but not on commercials or advertisements.

My only concern is the crashing, the noise can be there if it wants. Why? Because i have the sound up in the game anyways! Why would i hear my console if the games sound is up? By the way, these are not things that make or break a console (with the exception of my concern). These are just nit-picky things.
Someone said earlier that they like the controller sign-in, and so do i. I also like the UI and paying for Xbox Live.
BrianC6234 - did your wireless card company offer a new driver for it? Your card will more then likely require a driver update. Its not like Microsoft can just attach 32 0's on the beginning of each address to get your card to work.
It shortens load times, that wouldnt really be affected that much by applications running in the background. WOW must use components that WMP uses as well. If thats true then some WOW components would be pre-loaded making it load faster.
