You have a terrain deformation GUN. From what i remember. When enemies are shooting you, you can just aim at the ground and pop up some cover. THATS what theyre going for. But let me know when you make a full game based upon it. Im looking forward to this game.

They dont have to, this lawsuit is stupid. Although Apple should consider it. Taking into account all of their codecs suck. I hate Quicktime and Apple software always adds mysterious services to my computer. One time iTunes screwed up my computer and i could play ANY sound, at all.
And ill get HD movies cheap as hell when everyone gets rid of their HD DVD stock, everybody wins :)

Did the original AppleTV sell any units at all? I heard it sucks. Dont try to justify a crappy electronic by putting blu-ray in it. That would just be a crappy marketing technique. I could see if they made a GOOD AppleTV that this would be awesome, but no Apple, just no.
marinelife, how many calculations are your other devices doing? Probably not as much as a game console. The HD dish could come close because it would use advanced math algorithms to decode the compression, but a lot of HD boxes do that in hardware for speed. In that case the box would stay at a very reasonable temperature.
An external hard drive is cheaper either way. The base cost of the blu-ray disc drive would be quite a bit, probably matching a good high capacity external drive. Even if the blu-ray drive is cheaper, you will spend more on discs. The external drive is re-writable to your hearts content.
Brian, these disc formats are bad for those backups too. Buy an external hard drive. Its cheaper in the end.

Um no. Its not possible. Crysis uses DX10. Theres no way linux can run it. You would have to port the entire DirectX library.
I dont see how this is possible if they arent able to tap into the GPU. The games wouldnt run at a decent framerate.
Also, to my knowledge both Gears and Bioshock are DirectX games. Whereas linux uses OpenGL.
Someone try this and let us know if its good.
BTW follow the link and all you will find is a way to install Yellow Dog. So it doesnt actually teach you to play windows games. If you could do this then all linux users would be able to play PC ...

Taking in to account Halo 3 renders 2 frames per frame shown (HDR lighting) that means it renders 1,456,640 pixels. More then 1.5 times the amount a 720p frame contains. Therefor rendering more then all of your 720p games :)
