While this is mostly true, for people who use a console as a movie playing device already and would be looking to stick it in a closet or kids room or something will think twice about doing so.
Also this two controller debacle sounds nasty. No multiplayr is sich a shame.
Though sending content to each controller and the tv would eat up lots of resources I imagine.
Plus if the controller is so expensive as to restrict multi player then it wou...
It is sounding better and better.
I'm almost good just with the realistic bar brawl.
In any case I have the first two so I really should get this one. I know it'll be worth a play through and some multi player action for a bit.
You guys are all arguing about the wrong thing here.
They won't announce the ps4 in 2013 they'll anounce it in 2014 then release the year after that.
Their probably going to give the next xbox two years to itself. During which they will sell record amounts of ps3's as the ps3 will be cheap and many games will be multi platform between the ps3 wii u and xbox whatever. Except exclusives of course.
Looking back it should be obvious ...
Therem are cost reasons why they don't do that. They don't euse the best chips, the best heatsinks, or the best fans. They usually use midgrade or else you would end up paying 600-1000 dollars for. Just like what happened with the ps3. None of that stuff in it was cheap enough to be marketable but they put it out anyway and it only started selling well recently.
They won't use solid state anything aside from maybe 8 or 16 gb flash chips (like from a usb stick) bec...
if their using 35nm for everything and have the settings low enough they wouldn't use much power and could get away with an internal one probably.
it's very small. Don't expect too much out of the specs.
The cpu is capable of much but will probably have to be clocked down for heat in the tiny box.
Same with whatever video card they go with.
Should still be a bit quicker than a ps3. Comparable at the very least.
Should last nintendo for five more years.
Streaming or straight up downloading via torrents.
I haven't used a dvd or bluray for a movie in ages.
I think it helps that my computer is attached to my hd tv via the pci cable.
If it's about gaming though I'm all down for the big disks. One day streaming and dl'ing digital only games will be the way to go but for the time being no.
Neither it's a hobby and an activity just like watching movies or reading books.
Though just like with everything some people take things to ridiculous excess.
This guy says the meta critic scores for dragon age 2 and portal 2 were awful. I only checked portal 2 but they were like 9 and 8.5 for user scores. This article just drumming up hoo ha.
yeah that worked good with the transition form ps2 to ps3.
They should do like sony is doing and release a new content after eight years or so.
Good read, I do that. I'd rather play on easy than not enjoy playing. If I'm not enjoying a game I just turn it off.
It's no fun to spend houls dying in the same spot.
That doesn't sound very promising. Oh were just going to do whatever. They came out sounding like they would do a decent online service but now it sounds like it'll just be game specific online services.
Way to go nintendo you putzy middle aged farts.
It's not massive unless its (M)assive (A)ction (G)ame massive.
yes it has quite a lot of potential. We could have multi levelled games that go up through genres. Fps to strategy.
Eventually they could go one step further and have an ongoing open world where every character is live doing missions that work together to form stories chosen by all the people.
unlimited potential.
@360 man
Haven't all their previous release vids been pre rendered on a pc with graphics and effects maxed out?
Good read, about sums up my opinion of events as well lol.
as the chips get cheaper to purchase for them.
it was like a lelun of last years microsoft conference minus the kinect hype.
249.99 (& 299.99) psvita steals e3 more like.
Had this thought already.
They will obviously strengthen ties with the ps3 as their already in there.
Plus since gabe has been bashing live for being a closed system again and praising psn's open'ness he's probably working on something psn related right now.
We can all pretty much assume there's a new valve game coming to the ps3 in the future.
What will be really neat is to see if they strengthen ties in the future.
I...
