It's probably dependant on when you made your account but they also said available to all users so at worst you can try and dl the free stuff.
I think it would be hard to descriminate based on when you signed up.
Worst comes to worst I think if you sign up before the psn store comes back online you should be good to go.
@ logic. Thats because most ps3 owners buy mostly multilplats. Not even knowing the difference between them and exclusives or really hearing about sony exclusive games to begin with.
The problem is two fold.
Poor marketing on sony's part. Which has always been a problem.
And boring mainstream people only buying boring mainstream games.
Maybe their kids will have better taste.
I have four and a half (fury expansion for wipeout that I don't have) of five games.
I take it as a sign that I buy too many games.
Infamous has a great story and plot structure that most games don't even try and surpass. The main character is well developed throughout the story and comes off more like a person than most main characters in games that usually come off as some douche with a gun.
I think we will and indeed already do to some degree.
If you look at the console manufactures they are each aimed at different consumer groups. Some more casual some more mainstream some more artistically inclined.
There are exceptions on all sides, all venues of gaming have the ability to meet most people's needs.
Also multiplatform titles do much to allow easy transitioning for people who want to try things outside their comfort zone.
I will admit that many great works of art are copied to make more art. Many novels written of plays, many movies written from both.
Famous paintings are copied by painters in attempt to make new art. And untold many bands do well off covers of other artists work.
Far be it for me to say which has more artistic value or merit.
I just prefer for the sake of novelty and curiosity something new to spend my time on. More of the same with extra polish, done a bit ...
This is an argument where games as Art and games as Entertainment meet head to head in an epic battle.
Games as art are supposed to break new ground, it's essential for maturity and growth as a medium.
Games as entertainment ride a dynamic until it's unprofitable.
It has failed many times in the past.
Besides who wants to buy console upgrades. I would much rather just purchase a new system every seven or eight years.
There totally can be but this article missis it entirely.
I think their going to tie Chel's release in with the war on the combine.
We haven't heard anything about halflife three because they had to wait till after portal 2.
I wouldn't be surprised if half life three came out and you ended up playing as both freeman and chel in a game with an ingenious mix of action and puzzles.
really?
It's not like they were all working on it and decided to say aww to hell with it then buggered off.
Of course their still working on it, their losing untold amounts of money by the day. I'm sure it's their number one priority.
If they made posts like that we would just see more useless news articles on the site.
Until word hits that the PSN is up you can guarantee that sony is working to fix it.
Game is free to play.
Also it's owned by a different company now.
two companies can't redeem an entire industries shame though.
I will agree that no exclusives could be good but the entire industry would have to step up.
It will likely only happen when you can game on anything and consoles stop appearing.
Agreement.
Exclusives are the best games in any generation pretty much. Looking back they are usually the ones that stand out.
Mario, donkey cong, crash bandicoot, ratchet and clank, gran turismo, halo, gears of war, all console exclusives.
Looking back at multi plats that were absolutely stellar, grand theft auto, metal gear solid, final fantasy. Most of them are games that come from console exclusives.
Also if you look at what happened to these game...
You people are crazy. That is an excellently written, informative and business like letter. I'm not sure what more you could ask for.
It seems like sony has been giving out information as they get it. Being as open as possible.
If they just told people about stuff when they only had suspicions then there would be a bunch of wild rumours being blown out of proportion.
They have pretty excellent prices imo. You can pick up many good full AAA games for four or five dollars often. Plus you can rent games and try them for free.
The only thing holding me back from it is no linux support.
Exclusive content is nonsense. It's holding up content from another console for no reason other than beurocracy.
I'm all for exclusive games, but exclusive DLC, give me a break, give everyone a break for cryin out loud.
It was an excellent article about an aspect of game culture and evolution of the medium.
Your analogy also is not very good. Your making a rather extreme comparison and it doesn't match up.
OT: I wonder what the future of controllers holds. Obviously we have no buttons, and motion with buttons. I think what will end up being best for everyone are things like the wii wand move controller. Though future versions will have to have kinect like abilities. The buttons ...
I think the reviewers reviewed this game poorly. It has excellent sp that ends abruptly. DLC and a sequel are already announced.
Besides it's the original story and setting that people are interested in. The length and mp are all arbitrary.
Just goes to show people want more than generic usa vs russia for no reason.
I agree the really should stop charging so much for call of duty.
It's like a 30 dollar game at best.
I agree, the offerings are better than I expected. I'm most excited for some free psp games. Yeah!
I was only really expecting crappy psn titles and mini's and garbage.
Everyone that doesn't have it should pick up infamous on the ps3.
