I totally care. That was one of the most exciting things at the E3 conference held by sony.
I liked MAG and I'm glad the additional details of this game share elements with it.
Hopefully they do it right, I'll be a day one.
I know I'll be getting one in almost the first month it's out.
My gf has said the same and for a little persperctive (not that it matters) she currently owns a wii and a ds.
I think that means this has some fairly broad appeal.
It looks like a very realistic game. In my experience with the battlefield games the single player campaigns have been more technically difficult than the multiplayer side. Which leads me to answer with the single player will probably be more "core" than the multi.
Lets face it though people buy these games more for the online than the campaign.
Though I haven't played any of it yet and they could really add in some tactical options to the multi...

A casual game is any game that is easily accessible.
Anybody can pick up and play a pokemon game ind do well at it.
Most RPG's are casual because you get stronger as you approach the end.
Games like Demon's souls, 3d dot game heroes, MAG, metal gear solid mirrors edge, warhawk and a number of other games are NOT casual.
Whereas games like pokemon, mario, call of duty, zelda, katamari, littlebigplanet, borderlands, heavy rain, bioshock,...
Shooters.
There's only one shooter I wouldn't call casual.
Edit. I'm talking about MAG for ps3 by the way. If you think another shooter is hardcore tell me and we'll debate it (I enjoy debating in a neutral fashion{no trolls or flamers})
It's probably less of an mmo market that their aiming for and more of a playstation home market.
As awful as everyone knows it is on the internet. Real people who just buy and play games without involving themselves in the game culture that we all thrive on, seem to spend tons of money in home.

So that being said MS wants some f2p micro transaction income to go along with their xbox live income.

It is cool but I've been doing this for a number of years. First on windows back in the day but more currently in linux.
In linux the pseye drivers are part of the kernel just like ps3 ds3 bluetooth drivers.
late 2014 for the ps4 maybe even 2015 if their really smart.
The playstation three is still kicking and by the looks of things it's sales will just be hitting their stride in the next few years. They'll probably just sit on it till year nine or ten before putting out the text console..
I mean really their still selling millions of ps2 each month. Their not going to announce another console when they haven't even discontinued that one.

That should answer all questions regarding ps3 exclusives.

ps4 totally won't be announced till 2014. I'm not even kidding. If they learned anything from the ps2 it's to let it ride a bit at the end.
Plus it would be a smarter business move to not go head to head with your rival.
Instead work on bringing the machine cost down and having a good catalogue of release date games.
If they wait an extra year the wii u will be totally be blown over, almost ready for the announce of the next ninte...
Of course it's in development. They have massive in house dev teams. Their not just sitting around playing thumb up butt and rotate.
It probably started development before ep.2 dropped.
It's likely taking so long so that they can put it on the ps3 properly as they hadn't originally intended to.
In any case they'll announce it this year and release next spring or fall.

It has a new controller and a more powerful bex but all the wii accessories work which is grantedly cool but it looks as if many games will use the wii mote.
Not an upgraded tech induced awesome wii mote that beats or matches at least the precision of the move just regular old wii motes.

Not surprised. The thing has bluetooth so you can use a ps3 controller, it's mega powerful so it could possibly put out 720?.

I agree with the article writers wife.
Super mario galaxy is boring. It's Super Mario 64 made difficult to control by poor camera work.
I like the gravity changes but think the tiny planetoids just screw with the camera and make it difficult to get where your going.
Though I think super mario sunshine rocked and liked wetal gear solid 2 sons of liberty best.
So I just like things that are different.
