When the Helghast are yelling, the accent isn't as noticeable. I agree that evil/bad characters typically take on an English and/or Russian accent. Funny, although both accents are very distinct. Think for a moment if all the characters spoke as though they were from the American Southwest...I figure that since Vedka and Helghan are cultures and planets apart, any kind of accent wouldn't necessarily be wrong.
I appreciate the original layout. I figure...if you want to play COD, play COD. As a purist I appreciate the layout that was intended for the game. Great that there is an option though. Love the physics.

I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. The problem with black protagonists in games is their connection to hip hop. I would like to see a black Gordan Freeman who isn't built on stereotypes. Louis from Left 4 Dead is a great example of what I'd like to see more of. Perhaps its his business attire or the fact that his comments don't come off like he's a tough guy. I'm surprised myself. It makes no sense; though it basically confirms a Halo 4 at some point. It is a shame Ensemble Studios was closed (after 10+ years operational) to make room for a brand new studio. Hopefully, the majority of Ensemble employees are able to find a new job and soon.
I think its optimistic at best to make such a conclusive prediction that any one game will turn the tide. I expect Star Ocean 4 to sell excellent, however for how long? Every big JRPG sold a majority of copies within a couple week time frame; if SO4 can keep the sales up for a month I will be impressed. It's too bad this game isn't multiconsole.
If Killzone 2 received all 10's how could anyone make an informed judgment about whether to purchase it or not? The article is about exclusives; Bayonetta and DarkSiders are not exclusive. I agree with your assertion that GOW3 and GT5 will release in 2010, however Heavy Rain should release this year. Also, inFamous and The Agency should be on the list as they are both highly anticipated and exclusive.

Is it hard for you to say that both versions look excellent? I played RE5 for both and here are my impressions:
No screen tear for either version. Color for both is very similar. Very hard to say which is better.
