for me. I am using IE7. This site is not very web compatible and it definitely doesn't work 100% with Explorer users either. Developing a website that is only one browser specific is soooooo yesterday.
Blu-ray will always win.
They already had discs capable of 200 GB and I believe they could produce 500 GB if the wanted to.
What's nice is that it still is compatible with current.
So why don't they release 200 - 300 GB discs? Well, the discs do cost more and the Drive Speed plays an important roll as well. 2x-4x won't cut it at those sizes. More and likely we won't see those disc sizes till Blu-ray becomes either the defacto PC Disc Storage or c...
I can see that PS3 is the better value....... HARDWARE wise.
Right now Xbox 360 still king in the as far as availability of games.
Xbox 360 was never about the best hardware value it was about choice....options....
With the PS3 you had to take it all and pay a higher price to get that value.
Problem is what if you don't have a TV capable of Hi definition. Well, Blu-ray would be a big waste of hardware. Sure PS3 games will play on o...
We are talking anticipated titles right?
Well I for one think the list is to small for the number of anticipated titles.
Should be more like top 15 minimum maybe even 20.
UT3 is very much on the PS3 crowds hit list of games and I say is right up there with Heavenly Sword and Drake Uncharted.
As long as you are not an EGM junkie Blue Dragon is anticipated as well.
Wii crowd been dying for the new Super Smash Brothers an...
Basically their preview version was saying that "Hey this could be cool and is worth keeping an I on"
Supposedly, Factor 5 just finished the finally version this month and more like closer to the end of this month than the beginning. Even so I doubt Factor 5 rushed out and let reviews play a version they just finished and I doubt EGM reviewed the full box version- I bet it was probably the same Demo IGN and Gamespot saw (near-final version).
The only t...
pathetic that some of you live your lives by a magazine and just one magazine.
If you look at the overall reviews EGM is in not in the minority. If you are not into this type of gaming genre or you decide to live by some magazine's rule book of video game life wait till it is available at the rental store.
This is a problem that has nothing to do with PS3 vs Xbox 360. We all need to chill out with the Idolization of Game Reviews.
Another thing ...
The movie is still cool. The RE movie seems to be drifting further away from the game series it seems like they are two totally different worlds.
Here is the BUT....
It still is a pretty darn good sci-fi/horror flick.
and Itunes.
If Sony is smart.
Supposedly a rumor of a new PSP in the works.
If So, it will probably have a nice size flash drive like the iPod or some ultra thin hard drive with mega storage space to compensate for the large size and weight a thin hard drive might bring compared to a Flash Drive. Nice thing is, portable videogame machines don't have to be as small or as thin as a music player - as long as the features match the weight and size.

It is growing old and I'm sure Rock Star is growing old of all the negative publicity that sadly happen.
It will probably be a more tasteful mafia/higher class. Now people always get the wrong impression when they here the word tasteful. Would less senseless work. They will probably do away with the street thug beat on helpless people, improve on the story oriented part of the game but of course I will go with the "take it to the next level" when in comes to the Ac...
Since Sony has finally step into the ring and starting to deliver some fierce blows in quality, the games for both Xbox 360 and PS3 have dramatically improve and if the group doesn't want to become a Joke. Better to wait and perfect than to deliver now and be crucified by the gaming industry.
This is a videogame based on a famous movie by a company whose name is after a famous director. It will probably be expected of them to produce Heavenly Sword/Uncharted type quality in b...
Hastings and Barnes and Noble still carry it in Texas. Still pretty popular book stores around here. Hastings is in more towns including small towns and we don't get jack.
Small towns only carry the popular and it is hard to get specialty stuff but Play still strong in all the Hastings in the small towns around here that still got a hastings. (only real place to rent a movie in a small town next to Movie Gallery). My town just got a Blockbuster not to long ago and is the newer...
Come on the value is there. Without Blu-ray the PS3 would be on Par feature wise - even better than the xbox 360 feature wise because Wifi, bluetooth, Multi-card reader are standard at $399 add a $100 for Blu-ray as extra storage and an HD movie player and your looking at the cheapest HD Movie player on the market for $499.
You can even twist the numbers in PS3's favor even more easily than xbox 360 to make it look like it is an even better; you could say the PS3 is a $299 gam...
I fought in the Iraq war and you would be surprised at how dull and yellowish a war torn desert country will look. When fresh bright colors do appear it is like a beacon to just about everybody. Soldiers on both sides are not going to use much color and it will match the yellowish dull of the country. Civilians not wanting to be involve or seen are not going to use bright colors. Also a lot of cities weren't kept up to begin with before the war and it is surprising to see how fast war can t...
They should of crammed more memory, better online abilities and features, Shoot for at least 720p game play max, play DVD's upscaled (not Hidef Discs regular dvd). Or, What Nintendo needed to do since they decided to stay out of the HD War was to add killer Physics (at PC level quality) and increase they amount of textures and things going on in the game to give their games more life to compensate for the lower resolution.
I don't know if they really needed a hard drive. May...
Play Magazine is an awesome magazine. You have to understand who they are and what they stand for. They take more of an art approach (still do technical) in their reviews and will I'd say they are a little fairer than a lot of Review Magazines/Websites. They will lighten up on a game if the game is still really fun. They also like Depth in game play and storyline so if the graphics kind of fall but Depth and storyline rocks they usually won't hack the rating to death.
Play M...
Most other OS' have anywhere between a year to three years for next major stable release (not counting security updates or Service Packs) Even Ubuntu every 6 month attempts are not usually considered major stable releases because they don't give the same support.
Microsoft is just trying to play catch up.
Thats good though because if they wait as long as the did when they had XP. Everybody else is going to crush them.
Still impressive. Drake Uncharted - The 3000 animations is just Drake only not counting enemies on the screen. Not sure what the number of animation is for the enemies in Uncharted.
Both these games are going to blow us away.
A lot of people just don't like to clutter their hard drive with movies or hook their computer to their TV. Why not just burn straight to discs. Yes Drives are getting bigger in storage sizes that doesn't always mean better. For instance, there could be a drive that is only 500GB but is faster and less money (not necessarily cheap per byte - we are talk price tag). PC gamers especially will look at the speed of the drive first then the storage size. Download Movies keep them of your drive a...
Most preferred the Disc based. I don't know why specifically but something about the discs creating more flexibility. I also believe the early Hard Drive based CAMs were heavier than the DVD based.
You should never be pissed at any delay that will improve gameplay and performance.
However, there is one exception.
When a developer says that a game is delayed forever instead of just saying they truth then we can be pissed.
After all, its only 20 days delayed.
Sounds like Factor 5 is going to try to tie into Home or have some features added that will be compatible with Home when it comes out. I don't think Developers could add Analo...
