Most PS3 have Bluetooth wireless capability.
Most Xbox 360 don't. Wireless is not standard on Xbox 360 so Rockband did the right thing and went with the wired.

I didn't see much of a comparison difference. Yes there was some choppiness in the PS3 version but it was enough in my opinion to distract from the game play. As the video was faster it became less noticeable. Besides, some of these new TVs will automatically upconvert the frequency of the signal to 60hz making even less an issue unless you were comparing them side by side. The site blows period for the lucky few that have the one codec that appears to work. However I have all updated Microsoft Windows codecs for their media player and it works majority of the time except when running into older Window Media players codec (Before 9).
Perhaps that is why Media player Classic works because it is better at backwards compatibility than Microsoft's Media Player.

They just pushed the envelope when it came to adult type video games in an industry that still had the little kid attitude and Consumers who still didn't get the clue that console gaming had evolved into a more older/mature customer base.

Xbox 360 Add-on has never been top HD DVD player in the pack - average at best.
Now there is HD DVD players and some of these are in the $250 range - Toshiba's HD-A2 HD DVD Player is now at this price and it has been rated top many times in the past for the price/performance category and is a much better player than the Add-on.
Xbox 360 add-on is $179 subtract the Stand-alone player's price...
