I loved how they finished with the Xbox One X having "Top level PC quality" when it can't even compete with a 1080, let alone a top level PC.

P_bomb, you are way off target.

"A few people complaining" Try defending QTEs by finding me games where people DON'T complain about their inclusion.

"I've never missed story content" Good for you. Too bad that was never mentioned. How detailed are the backgrounds? How would you describe the motion of the characters? How realistic is the way the person shoots the gun? These are cinematic details I'm concerned with. T...

The problem here is that you aren't supposed to be physically engaged during a cinematic moment. It reduces how focused you are on the cinematics meaning you will either miss content or the cinematics have to be dulled down to remain comprehensible.

At this rate, I don't understand why anyone still uses QTE's. It is clearly something most people are tired of and just costs extra resources at the end of the day.

@NewMonday
Retailers don't have THAT big of an impact. Stores like Wal-Mart and Best Buy are too diverse in products to play petty games and Gamestop is too close to failing on its own to be of importance anymore. Consumer outcry is why Xbox One switched back, and will continue to be how choices are made.

At this point though, I don't know how much longer MS will try to produce consoles. They have clearly been interested in switching back to the PC world...

@Eonjay based on your friend's technique, you would ignore the few bad reviews that breath of the wild had. While they may have scored the game too low, those low reviews were probably the only reviews with some true insight into how the game truly was. The truth is that reviews are hardly ever even close to unbiased now and you need to read the content of them ALL or just go ahead and ignore every last one.

Honestly we have reached a point that if 4k is going to be practical, then either we should have 2GB SSD at a decent price, or better yet a new physical media that can store 4k games and not have such slow read speeds. 2020 may be a bit early for that so a 2022 release would be best.

@coffee
Put your personal opinion aside for a minute. DmC would be found on a top 20 most hated games list at a minimum, if not the top 10. I never even got into old DMC myself, although I enjoyed what little I played a long time ago, and I found it to be irredeemable. Gameplay felt poorly designed Donte was especially unbearable. Why are you putting games that the gaming community largely hates on a "never made a bad game" list?

I must have hit a fanboy nerve with all these disagrees. All I stated were facts though. Considering the plethora of ways to connect to Kodi, this news will not impact too many people. I would also consider the risk of being banned from XBL due to using Kodi. I just don't see the benefit of taking the risk when $20 will eliminate that risk. As far as feasibility, how is it more efficient to install it on an XBox One than straight onto a tv? If your argument is portability, how is it...

Considering the endless ways to use Kodi, this ain't that big. Hell it isn't even the best way to use Kodi. I set my parents up so they access it strait from their TV. No extra hardware required for them. I, on the other hand, get addicted to watching things before going to sleep, so nothing is better than using it on my phone. If I want a bigger screen, I just use miracast. I can even miracast onto my laptop at work.

It is always nice to have more options, bu...

MH's story is limited. There may be some cutscenes that last a few seconds. Otherwise your story is told through doing village quests and talking to the villagers. It is a bit similar to Dark Souls games on how you get to consume the story.

Do you read? It is a problem when any of them do it. However, your examples are bad. Sony created Bloodborne and paid From to help them. It sounded like SFV was a financial issue for Capcom, so it isn't guaranteed it would exist without Sony's finances. Finally, Nier isn't even exclusive so no clue where you were going with that one.

Also where do you get your statistics that Sony pays for half of their exclusives?

@JoJo M$ isn't paying for the game to exist. They are paying for the game to not exist on PS4. There is a huge difference.

@gangsta No... they should be in the business of creating games, not limiting them. For example, Sony approached From with the idea to create Bloodborne, making a new game that would otherwise not exist. Another example was when M$ financed Titanfall, since I believe they didn't have the finances to finish the game. These types of scenar...

I've never tried Tenchu so I actually wouldn't mind seeing what it is about. I am completely unbiased and would be equally psyched no matter the setting/IP. I'm just ready for them to release a new game. On the other hand, I hate when idiots treat obvious speculation as if it is a fact. You guys that want to claim it is Tenchu or BB are so demanding that you seem to not want to hear other theories. The point of the teaser though is to get people to come up ...

He didn't clear up anything though. His first point is already wrong since Project Beast was teased in a similar manner where Sony didn't receive credit til the first official trailer. Also, the kunai isn't even remotely clear enough to confirm it is in fact a kunai. This is called confirmation bias. The Japanese writing is also so generic that it isn't an indication of anything. So the only clue left is the words. Did the "shadow" die in any of the Tenchu game...

I've gone through thousands of dollars in TCGs and also in Gacha (pretty much lootboxes by another name). Both are gambling. Both are clearly capable of leading to an addiction. Both are targeted towards children. I've seen these lead a friend to a horrible addiction to "real" gambling leading to over 100k in losses. To say something can't lead to addiction just because you got lucky is pure ignorance. Some people are just more susceptible to addiction than others....

This gen didn't start so long ago that you should have forgotten how it started. People jumped ship due to all the anti consumer practices M$ tried to introduce with the Xbox One. It wasn't due to the Xbox One being weaker. The PS4 won't lose from such a simple thing.

@KillBill He is talking out of his ass as usual. A launch title is a title released near launch for a new system. Xbox One X isn't a new system, so it doesn't have "launch titles" in a traditional sense to begin with. This is just like when they created the trend of misusing the term exclusive. Just because you delayed the release of a game, doesn't mean it is an exclusive. Same for "true" 4K. Why is Microsoft obsessed with butchering the English langu...

Do you guys never get tired of saying this? This has been said for the past decade. Physical isn't going anywhere anytime soon, and there is no evidence to show otherwise. On the other hand you can find evidence of digital struggling to stay relevant. Video games are too expensive to easily give up physical and the used game market.

I've always wondered why people view piracy as being an immoral thing. Do you honestly think people making these products do not get paid as much as the people pirating them? You think a years worth of work should earn you 10 years worth of pay? Do you think it is moral to create something for the sake of denying other people the chance to enjoy your creation? In what way am I doing another person actual harm by enjoying the game they made?

@Gumby My bad, I meant more so the not-for-profit sector than the private sector in general.

Have you never used google before? Hell, we already know you used them to look up your "facts" about PS4's OS vs XB1's OS. Out of all their products, Android is the furthest from being an actual Google product, yet it is the only one you can think of? How about their search engine? Their email system? Their maps system? So on so forth? All these apps are top...
