It only seems insane because you don't partake in the huge world that exists that makes your life as feasible as it is. This is the American way of life and extremely common. Like using any kind of paper products? How about plastic? Maybe you like using gasoline to get to and from places? The fabric of your life runs off of people that put in the time to get the job done. Do you not want the luxuries you enjoy such as transportation? Does it not bring you c...

My normal hours is 7 12's with work weeks going well beyond 100 hours. On top of that I have a more physical job than developers. My longest shift so far has been 32 hours, with 43 days before getting a day off of work. I am not overworked and I would be disgusted by anyone trying to argue on my behalf for shorter work hours. There are entire industries that work these types of hours and we would never give it up. Been doing this for years and I don't see an end in sight.

@Atana if I wanted to play monster hunter world right now on PS4, it would cost me about $30 physically vs $60 digitally. Yeah sure on a rare sale you might get it cheaper, but on a less rare sale I'll get it even cheaper physically. Every time I've seen a game I wanted at a good digital price, I've always managed to knock off $5 to $10 going physical DURING that sale.

This isn't what Microsoft was trying to do with the Xbox One and isn't even close to making the comparison. MS wanted to make you check in online to play single player games that you bought. AKA games that even people with NO access to online would buy. There is definitely a ramification for those with poor to no internet connection. Nintendo on the other hand is requiring an online check for a product that is provided to you for buying their ONLINE service. It should be assumed ...

Pretty much this. Since PS4 has a simple architecture this time, they lost their easy Japanese support since Japs prefer to make games for Japanese systems. The west tends to prefer making multiplatform games, so now they have to rely mainly on their own ability to spit out games. They would have probably sold me a system with games like Scalebound and an HD Fable, but they have let everyone down time after time. Combine that with the fact that they have proven with the Xbox and 360 that ...

Actually choreography is able to be trademarked. All that matters is whether or not they have the trademark. If they have a trademark, they are owed the money. If they don't, then they are most likely barking up the wrong tree.

Nintendo publishing it in foreign countries has no impact on what systems it can release on. If Nintendo footed the bill for development then that would be a different story. I would expect at least a PC version in 5 years if it doesn't bomb, and a Playstation version in 1 to 5 years if it sells real well.

@dcbronco I've literally never seen anyone claim XBL wouldn't work. Are you talking about when people said always online consoles wouldn't work? Also you seem to not understand why this wouldn't work. It isn't a lack of technology. It is the trillions of dollars worth of infrastructure that needs to be built that no one in their right mind would waste money on.

Also you are out of your mind if you think we are getting gigabit wireless anytime soon.

Based on sales numbers, most people still buy physical games. It isn't even remotely close to being a digitally preferred world.

Also, if a store can get away with selling me brand new games for $48 for almost the past decade, there is no reason digital games should cost more than maybe $40 to $45. Anyone who wants a digital only future just doesn't care about their own wallet. I gotta say when we reach digital only, I'm definitely turning to piracy until the...

Considering digital sales still pale in comparison they were losing sales to other competitors on the physical front. Hell I probably haven't touched Games top in over half a decade since getting brand new games 20% cheaper at best buy. I'm sad to see them bringing that to an end now...

Well hopefully every game from this gen works on next gen so that it can be true either way. Still with how long this is taking I hope it reflects how long the game will be. Needs at least 50 hrs minimum to not completely ruin FFVII's good name.

The original released on PC a year after PS. What we all "knew" was that it wasn't going to be exclusive. I give it a 50/50 chance of releasing on Xbox One. It just won't sell enough to make it THAT worthwhile when a PC and Switch copy would be far more beneficial. It would probably sell less Xbox One copies than FF XV which was also fairly low compared to PS4.

It was really 1-9 with 10 being the first to make a huge diversion. World map exploration was a staple in the game. Whether or not you like 10 or beyond doesn't really matter. 1-9 all had a similar formula while 10 and beyond all tried to be its own thing. 10 and 13 focused on being "experiences". 11 and 14 went for MMORPG while 12 went for offline MMORPG. 15 went action. While the loss of the world map hurt, I think my biggest problem with the changes was the focus on co...

"games cost the same digitally as they do retail"

Not true in the slightest. I pay $30/2 years for Gamers Club Unlocked so my physical copies are $48 on release day. Maybe even $38 if it is one of the games with the $10 preorder bonus. Digital just doesn't come close to the savings potential you have with physical. Especially once you bring used games into the picture.

So a gun that requires precision and accuracy is not earning a kill while spray and pray is earning it? Sounds to me like someone is jealous.

Really and truly though they should give snipers away after making a shot, not before. That and have whatever effect disappear with distance that way you have a reason to keep moving.

I can accept people liking Labo, but why are all the positive comments lying about creativity? Every set is predetermined. There is NO creativity involved with the physical aspect of Labo.

"You can find someone to complain about anything" You are right, we should all be dismissive just like you rather than evaluating complaints.

Telltale makes a niche game. It is okay to cater to your niche. Just like your highly dismissive comment, there is a niche for everything. Even highly disliked features like QTEs have a niche. That is why you make niche games rather than trying to include low popularity features in EVERY game. I like rhythm games yet ...
