@Terry_B I mean no game is lost on an old system. There are multiple inexpensive choices for emulating old games.
I couldn't join matches all night due to the rooms being full even though half of the players were bots. They claimed this wouldn't happen so now I'm done with Dice. I guess they should have asked their community if they wanted to play the game instead of being blocked by bots. CoD isn't fairing any better with their horrible servers...
I'll stop hating when they go back to being able to connect locally instead of through the internet. Some of us are adults with jobs that take us away from top tier internet service.
@DarXyde
Him and Bill Gates literally made their way by taking from others. They were far from creative. The iPhone was said to be the first of its kind yet others existed for years before it. All he did was bring it over to the US.
He would probably held them to a higher standard though.
This is Japanese business culture in general. In fact Japan was known for making 10 year plans to be top of the industry and would follow those plans while we would focus on this year only.
Also Iwata was one of the worst things that happened to the company. He was the one that said screw our customers, we should make games for people who don't play games.
I don't know about shooters and Forza, but this problem existed before gamepass when digital sales weren't a problem. The only time these types of games sold well on an Xbox platform was the 360 when Sony made the PS3 too difficult to program for. I do agree that gamepass adds extra harm, but the problem already existed.
I would expect more around March, but From is one of the few that can be tight lipped about information so a February release date wouldn't surprise me.
It has nothing to do with my network. The PC version forces an internet connection instead of just connecting through your home network. It is a terrible setup.
Until I can use remote play over my local network on PC, I won't consider getting the portal. Fix it on PC to give me the confidence that it will be worth getting a standalone device for it...
There are games from the 90's in the top 20 most expensive games to produce. Yes select titles have gotten noticeably more expensive to produce, but compare GTA4 to Spider-man. Both cost about $100m to produce. On 3 systems after 5 years, it got 25m sales, which is not bad. In 1.5 years, Spider-Man sold 33m on a single system. Costs have been outpaced by sales and companies have been making record profits before any costs increased for customers so don't even pretend they are seeing...
Imagine hating what someone does with their free time so much that you support getting rid of games that have 0 impact on your life. Are you that guy Drake? Please don't be that guy Drake.
Working for someone and making their major decisions is two vastly different things...
"What is a No Graphics Mode?" A mode exclusive to Xbox, Switch, and currently PC.
@Crimson
I actually tried it wired in on a network that was high speed/ low latency and it still worked like crap and I wasn't able to get the trophy for jump rope. Gotta be near a Sony server I guess.
So is it just the PC version that doesn't work well? It can lag like crazy while being 2 feet away because it forces it to go through the internet rather than a local connection.
Smash bros has some of the worst online programming decisions I've ever seen in a game. I pray the next one isn't touched by Sakurai and gets a competent online programmer.
What about the many people that used that title when RDR2 was announced and awaiting a title?
I'm the type that would benefit from this and price isn't a concern for me. What IS a concern is that laptop remote play doesn't work well in the same room let alone the same house. If you aren't willing to make it work on my laptop, I'm not willing to fork out money for a dedicated device.
@ThinkThink Multiplat isn't my issue with them. I used to buy all systems. My problem is that anything that gets bought by M$ dies. They have bought tons of studios yet where are the games from those studios?
I played a little and it didn't draw me in fully but I was going to try and give it a chance. Too bad the frame rates kept becoming unbearable. Definitely not buying an Xbox for that game. Hopefully Fable is better optimized for PC.
