"Lol first off an SSD is not a hard drive"
Intelligence shown, i'm done.
SSD - stands for "solid state drive"
HDD - stands for "hard disk drive"
Both are hard drives, or would you call it a soft drive? SSD just has no mechanical parts, hence the name "solid state"
I did not call an SSD a hard disk drive, another thing you made up.
"Second no...

"You've got to be the most defensive xbox fanboy/apologist I've ever seen on this site. I think basically everyone in here would take 1080p 60fps over 1440p 45fps"
No, not a fanboy at all, or an apologist, the Series S is outputting at the advertised resolution of 1440p, if that makes me a defensive fanboy, so be it.
So your saying you would get a better experience playing the Xbox One X version as opposed...
I don't get the comparison between Series S and 4K though?
Everyone knows Series S will target 1440p in most if not all games, so why the discussion about why it is not 4K?
1440p @ 45 fps is perfectly fine for the Series S, it is not a case of whether i like it or not, i have the Series X.
If the Series S was 1080p like the PS4 Pro/XB1X, then it too would be 60fps wouldn't it?
Raytracing is also a good additi...
Gone were the days when xbox got slated for supporting the xbox one for at least 2 years.
Sony are doing the same with the PS4 after claiming "we believe in generations"
Raytracing/faster load times on Series S, but not on PS4 Pro or Xbox 1X? hmmmmm
PS4 Pro and 1X are only 60fps @ 1080p, the Series S is 1440p @45fps
Nice attempt at bashing the Series S, well played.
Yeah in the UK, i want a 4K/120hz Samsung but i don't want to get rinsed lol. It has dropped a lot and is currently £899.99 so i might take the plunge soon.
I might have a double check tonight but i think when i bought it around 7 years ago it was listed as 50hz, but i understand some panels are listed at 50 but can actually display 60, not sure..
But yeah, i am more than happy with 45fps with raytracing on.
FPS can be whatever is stable, or a standard.
Films are 24 fps
Games tend to be 30/60 or now 120 on consoles as a standard target, to coincide with the refresh rates of displays, that tend to be 60hz/120hz although some older sets are 50hz. All it means is having a game at 45fps, on a 60hz display, means some frames will be displayed every 2 refreshes of the display, and others 1.
PC can have any fps in the range the GPU can support, so...
My TV is 50hz, so it is only a loss of 5 frames per second for me lol...
That is in-between 30 frames and 60 frames
what would be the point of a breakdown screen?
@yeahokwhatever
Looks like my "bold assumption" was absolutely nailed on point :-

"The restoration process does not require a patch, so it's possible your missing gear will magically reappear in your inventory within the next few weeks."
Like i said,...
Wow, Switch absolutely dominating in the software and the hardware charts.
Congrats Nintendo!!!
"Aside from 4K and 60fps you literally get everything else I just mentioned on base ps4 and xbox one."
Faster load times? How?
So you have just clarified, that if you have the base xbox console, you do not get 4K or 60fps, lol, pretty sure i just said that to you and you tried to argue against it?
"Now this might be the dumbest thing you've said. If you really think they're going to release remasters of games that...
I think they mean the official next-gen upgrades by CD, not the software level improvements by the consoles themselves.
@XbladeTeddy
I'm guessing your from the generation that introduced plastic packaging into todays "planet". It always seems to be the culprits, that beat the drum of "save the planet".
When i was younger, plastic packaging did not exist, society was more eco friendly in the 90's than it is now.
Stopping plastic in the oceans only protects sea life, it does nothing to the "planet".
What if it has a fault and you need to return? what do you send it back in? plastic packaging?
It is not the plastic use in products that is the problem, it is the human beings dumping it in rivers and the sea where the problem lies.
I'm all for preventing plastic in the oceans, but tackle the source rather than stick a plaster on it.
Back in the day we never used plastic packaging, we used glass for drinks bottles, we used paper in the chip shops, all recyclable or biodegradeable, it is the current generation that has forced the plastic packag...
" I've never seen any get as uppity as you about Xbox or if someone questions the XSS considerably lower specs for a 'current gen' system."
Not really, i was referring to the argument of "4K" on the Series S that waverider referenced :-
"But a game running at 4k and another at 1440p"
I even called the Series S this "but we are talking Series S, a half powerful stop gap between the One X and...
