I have got to say, this is a feature i would probably never use, when i want a break from a game i either :-
1) pause the game
2) watch a movie/tv
3) turn the console off
I do not see why i would require an AI to carry on playing if i wanted to take a break, especially in any game story related.

Millions is pocket change for Microsoft, and they would gladly pay millions to take a well established PS franchise and make it xbox only, even if that entails buying Hideo Kojima, his life, and his family and place of residence in the process.
Nah, Metal Gear would turn into a "niche" game, or shovelware overnight, which the PlayStation fanbase never cared for.
Money talks though, if the price is right i'm pretty sure Konami, Hideo, or anyone else would work with xbox and Microsoft.
People never imagined Zenimax being acquired, look where we are now.

Even at £1/$1 per month for everyone, that is at least 23 million dollars per month, without doing anything.
Say 15 million (50%) pay the full fee, that is just short of $120 million dollars per month.
