That is just me speaking as a gamer, just as you will notice, i mention PS5 in xbox articles. I look at things from a gamer's perspective, as opposed to a company bias perspective.

concept video, due to cooling techniques, it may be a more similar shape/design to the PS4 Pro.
These consoles will be packing some series heat, so will need some good cooling solutions.

True, but i want to see the 1st party offerings for both, we have seen some third party from MSofts 1st stream, and the usual showings like COD, FIFA, Battlefield, are a given and i would rather them be shown by their respective publishers.
If it was my choice i would have every console, but funds and time, it is not feasible lol.

I might get PS5 as well at some point, the games for these next gen consoles are going to look really good.

I was quite lucky to have family members that owned the opposition, PS1/2, SNES, Game boy, C64, Atari ST, but we are all now xbox, most of my family and friends are xbox, so that is where i will be next gen primarily.

It is not exclusive to digital purchases. The game will just get a series x/PS5 patch when released.
Discs have DRM, that is why you need the disk to pass the DRM check. So if you sell the disk, you would not be able to play the game anyway, like all other games.
It reminds me a lot like the xbox dashoard to me when the tiles/tabs were horizontal. (now they are vertical)
I think there will be a much bigger leap than xbox one/PS4 to xbox one x/PS4 Pro.
I can not wait to see some great next-gen gameplay from both!!

I think they should focus mainly on showing 1st party, this may be the gen i buy both consoles.
I am still awaiting gameplay from either Microsoft or Sony, but in the next 4 weeks, we should hopefully have some games shown from both.
Why feel the need to tell an audience the resolution and frame rate of a pre-recorded video?
Live stream i can understand 1080p 30fps.
Pre-recorded video not so much.
xbox staff were working from home, they did a live stream and did not feel they had to "justify" the resolution and framerate.

What about the gameplay being shown? Anyone can release game trailers in 4k, even the switch.
The game will be tied to the account, so after a reset, you can just download again.
I don't know why people would pay extra for a special edition and then not download the game.

When people buy editions, they normally do it because they want the attached game, as opposed to reselling the code.
And xbox bundles have been digital only downloads for years now, that is nothing new.

Except he does not mention any loading screen advantage anywhere in the article. He is clearly talking about how 3rd party will do things differently as the SSD architectures are different.
What a waste of an article, he is talking about 3rd party developers, and the differences in SSD architecture between the 2.
He also says " I’m really impressed in the architecture they did with their drive and they’ll be able to do really cool stuff with it. I also don’t think it’s as impressive over what you’ll be able to do what the Series X has done and so I have high confident in that team."
