@Bathyj

"Why would anyone buy it if you only saved 50 bucks for PS5?"

Because the only difference is the lack of a drive, which will cost Sony around $20-30?

If it is $100 less than the PS5 with a drive, then how can Sony justify charging you $100 for a $20 drive?

Thanks Stoney,

@Captain

So they will be buying the Series X then or PS5 won't they?

@Kryteris

You seem misinformed, the Series S is targeting 1440p resolution and 120fps.

1080p is xbox one S

Certainly makes it interesting, i think they will match the price. I think they would lose too much per console if they undercut, and they have to price the all digital edition cheaper.

I'm going $499 for PS5, $449 PS5 digital.

Is that EA Access rebranded?

You think with better more expensive SSD tech?

What's EA Play?

Exactly the price i predicted, max $499

"My understanding is that the Series S is less powerful and is digital only"

You are 100% correct, so people are not that confused after all.

2122d ago 4 agree6 disagreeView comment

I have a great understanding of both, Sony are launching the PS5 and the PS5 all digital (same spec). Microsoft are launch the Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series X (S = lower spec, X = higher spec)

Hope this helps everyone out in their "confusion"

Another article with this so called "confusing branding"

When you go to the store this holiday, there will be a small white one, and a large black one, an S and an X, what are people getting confused about

"right now the professionals are confused"

Yeah course they are, a developer or store manager can not distinguish between the two, nor would they have had pre-notice of what was launching, don't talk wet.

$599 console
$220 SSD expansion

= $819 minimum without a game, so yeah around $900

2122d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

The one for PS5 would be more expensive, seeing as though it is faster speed, I/O architecture etc.

2122d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

@Lelo

That is why it is not true

2122d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

Nonsense, so the Series X would work out around $900?

2122d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

So it is not the largest console in decades?

"He added: “I see a lot of people dropping their jaws at $299. It’s a good price, but for what? Is it an upgrade to the Xbox One X?"

Lol, even i as an "average punter" knows that the Series S is more powerful than the One X.

Can Xbox One X play next-gen games like the Medium, Scorn??? No, no it can not.
Can the Xbox Series S play next-gen games like the Medium, Scorn?? Yes, yes it can.
