"CAN YOU IMAGINE, what type of work it would take to get this game to run on the launch Xbox One ????"
Probably exactly the same amount of work it is taking now, seeing as though it is launching on the xbox one?
May as well add "can you imagine, what type of work it would take to get this game to run on the launch PS4???"
You see how silly it sounds?
Better delayed, than the backlash and damage from releasing a broken game, if a game is not ready it should always be delayed.
40% revenue growth when selling the consoles at a loss.
"That being said, she pretty much implicitly confirmed that the new consoles will be sold at a loss.
“In gaming, we expect revenue growth in the high 20% range. We expect very strong demand following the launch of our next-generation Xbox Series X and S consoles driving supply-constrained hardware revenue growth of approximately 40%.
We also expect a negative gross margin impa...
Oh don't get me wrong, i am not trying to say PS5 is not in demand more, but an 84% margin worldwide? Not likely.
That is like saying by the time PS5 gets to 84 million sales, Series X will be at 16 million. I just do not see that big a margin.
"While this study is fun water cooler talk and perhaps reflects the momentum of the PS4 and the existence of a new Spider-Man game in the launch line-up, its unclear how deep the agency search went. They bill themselves as experts and we'll just have to take them at their word. But from what I've seen, the argument between PS5 vs XSX isn't as clear cut."
Says everything i need to know. Lets wait for launch numbers from both manufacturers before jumping...
There is for me, i already knew all games were coming to PC, still getting the Series X.
1) My PC is classed as puny
2) To get my PC on just below par of a Series X will cost me around £5-600.
So for me personally there is a reason, for those that have a capable PC already, they would not have been planning on getting the Series X in the first place.
@potatoseal
Do you have Windows 10 on your PC? it is the same ecosystem, whether you buy on PC, xbox, Switch, mobile, IOS, it is still a software sale for Microsoft.
And everyone knows, the profit is in the software.
"The only caveat seems to be timing, which will of course allow Microsoft to insist that the console still has exclusives of a sort."
So yeah we still get timed exclusives, and we still get console exclusives. So nothing has changed....
I'm sorry for myself lol, but at least i am still in the majority.
Just waiting for 120hz to come down in price to take full advantage of next gen.
That is what i want, and Age of Empires..
How is this news? We knew this like, years ago.
I am going to see if i can pick up a 4K TV during black friday, still rocking 1080p lol.
The only difference would be resolution. There is no point doing a comparison, as we already know the results.
The S only differs from the X by a slightly slower CPU and weaker GPU.
Errm, the exact same as Series X albeit a lower resolution.
So what is 4K @ 60fps on the Series X, i would expect 1440p @ 60fps on the Series S.
The UI, back compat performance, will be the same as X.
Tumor lol, that made me giggle.
@popsicle
"up-to" could have dips in frame-rate
"&" or "at" locked framerate.
Means the same thing. They have used different wording/phrases to differentiate the 2 versions from each other. But all in all, same resolution and framerate on both PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Would have been different if one was worded as "upto 60fps" and the other "at 60fps"
I would as well seeing as though the max res is 2K
The question is, which platform will a new silent hill (if announced) be exclusive to?
Here is hoping it is multi, like me a bit of silent hill.
Or a new parasite eve!! what a game
I do not know how you did not understand "potential audience"
As of sep 2020 GP subs were at 15 million. That is potentially 150 million dollars, per month. (at current sub levels)
Not trying to spin this as anything, i already said PS5 is expected to sell more, whilst also saying it is obvious the PS5 will have higher demand, and that is just down to the current PS4 fanbase, anyone who says that will change this gen is quite frankly deluded.
I did not cherry pick the quote, it is in the article as stating they do not know how they came to the results they did, how much data they gathered etc etc.
I am just going to reserve my judge...
