Are they confirming that you can order a PS5 on launch day if you have not pre-ordered? So why can you not pre-order now?
My point being, it makes no sense to halt gamers ordering until launch day, and then let them order, just let gamers order now.

Why wait? It will still be the same price in a years, 2 years time.
You could argue the same case with any console, it is all preference, for me, it is worth the cost, i will play my catalogue of games (like i am doing now), and get the 1st party games whenever they launch.

Not when they transfer the game to the internal SSD, i am using my 2TB HDD for storage, and will transfer games when needed.

Quite simple, The Series S is more powerful than the xbox one X.
Series S has SSD (faster loading etc), RT support, 120fps support. The One X can not do any of that.
4TF of RDNA 2, is more powerful than 6TF of GCN
Series S is for non 4K TV owners, Series X is for 4K TV owners.
Exactly, not the Series S being incapable, the dev's not pushing the console.

Chances are everyone has at least a 1080p tv in todays market.
The minority have 4K that is capable of anything over 60fps.
