Yes but they can not do raytracing, or load times.

The series S is aimed at non-4K TV/display owners, this is common knowledge, it does not matter what console runs it in 4K.

But they have shown games running on the Series X, not quite sure where you have been.

But the One X or the PS4 pro are not £249? Not to mention they are both discontinued.

The Xbox One and PS4 base systems retail at £249.99. So the consoles cost the same :-

Series S : HDR, RT, 1080p (dynamic) console cost £249.99
Xbox One : 792p, HDR, no RT - console cost £249.99
PS4 : 900p, HDR, no RT - console cost £249.99

New console owners will not be getting the one x, or the ps4 pro, so ye...

So 1080p (dynamic), HDR, and Raytracing?

https://www.theverge.com/20...

So it outperforms the Xbox one X?

Well worth the money.

Buggy yeah, but overall good games, yeah.

Other than CDPR, i do not think there are many games on the size and scale of Elder Scrolls and Fallout.

So in my personal opinion, i would refer to their games as quality games.

Exactly, i have used an external since the original xbox one 500gb.

This next gen changes absolutely nothing

There are also more companies than Seagate that will be doing the cards for Series X.

And also as far as i am aware, there is only Western Digital that has a white lit SSD by Sony.

https://www.pushsquare.com/...

$229.99 for 1TB, same price as the Seagate card

Yes Antnee, your current external will work.

You can run PS4 games from the external, just not PS5 games as they will use the SSD architecture.

I am guessing it is the same as the Series X in that respect. All current games will work, but games that are optimised/built for next gen, need the SSD.

Nice deflect, but you do not need 4K assets for the Series S, so the same game, will take less space on the S.

Nice try though

@Darkwatchman

"I already had to buy that stupid expensive proprietary expansion Card"

No Dark, you really do not, i have a 2tb USB external with all my games on, and will just transfer to internal the ones i am playing.

"I think read somewhere you need a D4 controller to ps4 games on the ps5"

No the DS5 can be used for PS4/5 games on the PS5

You can not use the DS4 to play PS5 games on the PS5. (think this is what you were referring to)
