It is a shame we are getting no videos whatsoever of how BC looks on the rival platform.
People bashing MS for showing major enhancements of their 1st party games, but are moot when it comes to showing how Sony are going to improve their 1st party for their fans.
Where are the PS5 breakdown videos? thermal tests? sound tests? none existent.
What about the software based auto-HDR on games that have no HDR? surely that is an additional effect?
Should look miles better along with the auto-HDR being implemented.
This is great news, can not wait to experience greatness again running through the Halo collection co-op!!!
@VariantAEC
I always get it lol, even when i am correct, people do not like it.
@Melankolis
"This basically means Microsoft let a publisher sell an unfinished product in their platform."
Most games launched on all platforms, require day 1 "updates" to finish the product, this is no different.
I thought this was just due to the Series X/PS5 enhancements, as does this download just apply to the Ultimate Edition?
"Control's Ultimate Edition is Remedy's controversial new version of the game with its two expansions included. Buying it now will grant you the game's next-gen visual upgrade for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at some point in the future. The only way to access this upgrade is with the Ultimate Edition"
I was maki...
It does not require online authentication.
Per article and the developer :-
""Control Ultimate Edition, including all the latest expansions is over 50GB so we're unable to fit everything on the Xbox disc. We have used Xbox intelligent delivery to provide some content on the disc and the rest via download," the publisher wrote in a statement."
@Father_Merrin
This is not a "check-in" to play the game, this is to download the remainder of the game as it says in the article.
That is down to the devs, not Microsoft.
What the Developers did?
I know right, people can afford to buy a Series S/X but have no internet connection.
Please...
You could even use your mobile as a Wi-fi hotspot (may use a lot of data though lol)
To download the remainder of the game, as per article :-
"Eurogamer understands this is because the disc does not actually contain all of the game's campaign data, the remainder of which is then downloaded."
Nothing to do with DRM before them rumours get circulated
I think in this day and age, the territories where xbox will be launching, more or less every household has an internet connection lol.
This will be made into another nonsensical issue
Excellent watch, the main heat signature is from the exhaust (fully expected).
Great piece of engineering, good to see we are getting loads of independent tests and reviews before launch, Microsoft being so open with the console before launch is good for the brand.
These are also the most powerful consoles to date, so chances are the thermals are going to be the highest.
@Killa78
Mine will not be going in a cabinet, it will look good enough stationed alongside the TV.
I'm not concerned about the thermals, if you have a PC, go into BIOS and check the CPU temps on a PC to compare.
@Darkwingsoul
"An "update/refresh" is not what Sony did with the PS5 UI and you know it."
I might be mistaken, but i am pretty sure i never mentioned the PS5 UI and you know it.
The xbox UI is derived from a Windows 10 kernel, of course they will treat it like windows, it is the same ecosystem. You need windows 10 to play the 1st party exclusives.
Xbox is that same family of devices, so they are going for a unified UI approach, nothing wrong with that just because it differs from the competition.
He gets corrected a lot does our Nexus
