I agree, we need to see an updated trailer/gameplay.

My guess is they will leave that for this years E3.

Great example of a game.

So by that example your calling the Series X a 6K console? Seeing as though the output of Ori on the series X has a 6K option right?

"Moon Studios confirmed this week Series X will have a mode that renders the game at 6K resolution"

Answer me this?

Question : "I only have a 1080p TV, and have no plans for a new TV anytime soon. Also i want an all digital console, what are my options?"

Retail clerk : "Well you can get a Series S for £249.99, or a PS5DE for £359.99, both will output 3rd party games at a max resolution for your TV at 1080p."

That is why it is not a mistake, people with 4K sets, will either buy Series X/PS5/PS5DE.

Nice, a last-gen console playing next-gen games?

What is this wizardry???

The Series S can not output at 4K

The Series S version has higher quality assets over the Xbox One X/PS4 Pro, hence the reduction in resolution.

I like you Orchard, your comments always are on point, and factually correct.

I think people are just using this as the next "in thing" to use in the fanboy wars.

It's been a while since i have heard "no 1st party studios" or "xbox has no gamezzz" lol

@Iceman X

"Why even bother with Series S if last gen can out do it....."

The Series S is marketed at non-4K gamers, and has a maximum output of 1440p. Xbox One X is no longer available to buy, and the Series S has higher quality textures, shadows, faster load times, assets etc over the last gen of consoles.

The Series S plays the same games as the Series X, and these games will not be available on Xbox One or Xbox One X.

Series S can not output at 4K, so people saying "it should be 4K, not 1080p", it is technically impossible

"It’s important to also note that while the Series S shares resolution and fps of the lower end consoles, this does not mean that it’s running on the same settings as those consoles. We won’t know for sure until tomorrow, but the game could very well be running with improved textures, shadows, etc. that are present on the Series X."

So same res as base consoles, but with improved shadows and textures, i.e. next-gen assets

P.S. the maximum resol...

"For all that say that bandwith, ram,, gpu isnt a problem.... that the s is next gen and not cross gen... Well... This is scary."

I think you misunderstand technology, games will be released that utilise the next-gen capabilities, SSD, higher pool of RAM, better CPU etc etc, this will simply make games not possible to run on last-gen hardware, but able to run on the Series S.

So far xbox has only released 1 game tha...

@Abizzell

"The main problem I see is that the Series S is 1080p in comparison to the PS4 Pro and One X being 4K."

Not sure how you could perform a technological miracle and get a Series S to output at 4K, when the maximum resolution is 1440p?

You must be the second coming of christ.

The Series S is not for 4K gamers, how long will it take to realise the Series S is simply a 1440p machine that plays the same ...

I do not know how it works on PS5, but on xbox and series X, you can navigate the console without using the dashboard via the guide button.

I spend next to no time whatsoever on the dashboard, so the resolution means squat.

1956d ago 6 agree4 disagreeView comment

I agree, i spend about 5 seconds on the dashboard, and that is when i boot it.

It could be 380p for all i care.

I think the game will be fine, i will judge them on the launch, but like you say if they do have a disaster launch, i would look at passing the IP to one of the other 1st party studios.

I agree, the assets on the intro were well sub-par, add to that a bit of pop-in during gameplay.

Other than that, combat-wise looked like the good old Halo formula.

Overall they definitely made the correct decision in delaying for 12 months.

@Sonic-and-Crash

"Mega Mistake there from Sony ...more exclusives to PC means weaker Playstation"

I have got to completely disagree, a game on another platform, whether it be day 1 or 5 years later, only results in more revenue and profit for the publishers/developers.

This will only give more money to bend studio/Sony, and allow a massive increase in playerbase with the game being on PC.

Please explain disagrees, as i do not want to be stating false information.

As far as i am aware, everything stated is fact.

I think the options are still the same :-

Option 1 - Gold sub, online multiplayer and GWG (£39.99 12 months until codes run out)

Option 2 - Gold sub + gamepass sub seperately (i did this for around a year or so), online, GWG, 363 gamepass games (around £120 per year)

Option 3 - Gamepass Ultimate - XBL gold, gamepass 363 games, EA Play, Xcloud, Gamepass for PC, GWG. (gamepass currently stands at around 380-400 games) (around &#...
