Yeah i agree, the decision by Microsoft to no longer sell 12 months of gold is purely to make Gamepass Ultimate the more attractive option.
If i remember correctly, i do not think they increased the price when they started games with gold, here in the UK 12 months of gold has always been around £39.99 (with some retailers pushing to £49.99), so them removing it should bear no backlash.
Yeah i think i broke down the costs of each option in anothe...
Therefore i think they should cancel it.
Why not?
Careful of what?
According to gamers, games with gold is soooooo bad every month, a cancellation of the feature would be welcomed would it not?
I do not understand all the stick GWG gets, the games are FREE, if you do not like them, do not download.
Gamers are so entitled these days where they expect things for free, and then start crying in their cornflakes when they do not like the games.
I check the games out every month, some i do not bother with, others i do, i do not get offended if there is a bad month (lets be honest, how can any month be bad when the games are free?)
"I feel like they're trying to find a way to shut the feature down in favor game pass ultimate without having to deal with fan outrage."
Even if they did stop GWG, how can fans be outraged at free games? Xbox live gold is purchased and subscribed to for online multiplayer.
I do not think anyone buys gold just for games with gold lol.
The sales will include the Switch Lite, which is the essential replacement handheld of the 3DS.
Everyone i seem to speak to, seems to want the switch. Nintendo have always done well console/handheld wise. They had a blip with the WiiU, but other than that they generally sell. Each iteration averages around 70-90 million at least.
I see what people mean about the graphics now, i'm not surprised this is 4K 30/60 on nearly all consoles.
Hopefully it has some good gameplay (after all, that is what gaming is about) i shall download this tonight and give it a whirl.
"New IP"
Who would have thought eh? The Series S on par with the PS5!!! lol
Ori was 4K but that was a non demanding side scroller, once we hit the high demanding next-gen games that are not capable of running on last-gen, the Series S resolution will default to the advertised 1440p.
@JEECE
"But the point about Series S remains the same: it's a weaker system, and its specs are eventually going to either hold the Series X back or result in reduced performance."
How? How will it hold back Series X? Just like in games today, you have options for performance and resolution. It is theoretically the same, the game knows which console you are running the game on, and will adjust assets accordingly.
By your an...
It is because people on here like to jump the gun before fact checking.
Granted i myself sometimes state things which i think are true but after fact checking are incorrect, i then apologize and correct myself.
@RgR
"Consoles are not the same...you cant tweak."
Wait.. what? How do you explain having different graphical options/performance settings in games then?
Could that not be classed as the same as "tweaking"?
"The series s is akin to last gen xbox one x. Which also makes the xbox argument of being consumer friendly etc hollow...why not allow xbox one x to run next gen games"
This is why i did not jump the gun and start slamming and laughing at the Series S calling it a failure like the last comments thread.
Although i am surprised at the 4K 60, do we know if this is Native output? or some kind of checkerboard solution?
Try looking at them on a PC with a monitor rather than your Nokia 3210.
Nothing like the excitement of grabbing the latest mag and slamming that demo disc in your console when you got home!!!
@Stanjara
"What am I supposed to do with this screenshots?"
Maybe the same thing you do with any other developer/publisher that releases screenshots for their game? I don't know......
The industry is filling up with looter shooters, or PubG style games to push those good old Microtransactions.
My primary genre of game to play are 1st person shooters, so i am hyped for this game.
P.s. they need to announce a new Quake, it is well, well overdue.
Sadly there is a large portion of N4G that want this game to fail, just to give them a new bat to hit the ball around with.
Edit: I typed the cost of both @ £120, it is £150 for both seperately for XBLG/Gamepass.
