I have been avoiding That game. I hear it isn't very good. Which btw is question 12, they forgot to mention...
Q12: Does everyone on the Internet say That game sucks?
Funny thing is, you really can't trust sales people at any electronic or computer stores because of this kind of thing. Do your research on the Net, and don't listen to store sales people. They are looking out for their bottom line, not yours.
Microsoft strategy was to get the next gen out first, based upon current affordable technology. It has worked well for them, and almost a total opposite business approach versus Sony. Sony wanted to use the next gen platform as a vehicle to show new techniology. That is a more daring, risky business plan, because of initial costs. media and bloggers have been looking at total units, and monthly sales, while I think Sony all along has been looking at the next several years in their plans, and ...
For sure no one should get overly butthurt on not getting DLC if they enjoyed the original game. Not worth tripping on, because so much is out there now to play. I don;t want to overstate my distaste for the DLC wars too much. It isn't a major deal to me. But I do think it cause more bad vibes than good ones in the gaming world.
I greatly appreciate boob obsessed game developers, and the fantastic work they do.
I don't recall anything in Fallout 3 that felt like a boss fight. Combat in that game was hardly challenging towards the end when you have a level 20 weapon specialist character.
Out of this list, the one I played most recently was Infamous. That boss fight was pretty damn challenging. I was yelling at the TV, sweat pouring down my face, and my hands were still shaking when I beat it.
Note to self: Don't listen to fools working at Best Buy for advice, knowing they are paid of by megacorporations to spread disinformation about alternative products they make less profit selling.
This article was not at all what I expected. Gordon Freeman, sexy video game character? WTF? I want my click back.
yeah it's funny... I don't at all mind being called a nerd, because being a nerd in general is due to my fascination with a lot of different techy/nerdy things. Being called a gamer is a narrow stereotype that does not at all fit me, because I have tons of other interests.
Natal looks like cool tech to me. I don't have a 360, so my only casual critical comment on the demos I have seen is the lack of physical controller, wand, or any peripherals. Call me old school I guess, but I would feel foolish operating "pretend" steering wheels, swords, and guns, like I have seen thus far in product demonstrations.
I don't look at it so black & white as to never buy from a certain company again. But I have a budget like most people, and can't buy every game that looks cool to me. If I am holding two games in my hand at the store, trying to decide which one to buy, I will most definately take into consideration if I think the developer does not support the platform I play on as much as the other platform with additional content. That extra bit of information may sway me to choose the other game inste...
I think exclusive extra content for multiplatfrom games is bad for consumers in the long run, even if there is some justifaction by the big corporations that it helps with hardware sales. Ultimately though it just leaves a bad taste in video game buyers' mouths, and makes us second guess whether we should buy future games from makers that go with the corporate payoffs. That stuff ends up pissing off half of the people that bought the game.
Game makers: we do take notice of thi...
haha, I hear you on the hardcore thing. That one always cracks this old video game player up. "Hardcore gamer" sounds like an oxymoron to me, like "soft rock". Hardcore gamer is like saying "badass couch potato". Yeah, you are soooo hardcore in how you twiddle those little knobs with your thumbs while eating junk food. ;-)
lol, keep on bashing. The only ones that are into this kind of negative debate are the hardcore nerds that don't come up for air to talk about anything but games. Back in the real world though, both mega corporations Microsoft & Sony will continue to be in the game business for a long time, selling their products. The game market is too vast to be coralled succesfully into one brand of console. Aint gonna happen, no matter how amused some people get prediciting the demise of one of these ...
It's funny that the gamer blogs & websites have, and continue to make drama out of all this. It seems to me that everything Sony is doing is pretty much what they have said all along is a long term plan, and not changing that plan for a short term sales goal to beat the "other guys".
The defendents are not the ones suing, they are the ones defending themselves on the lawsuit. In this case, Microsoft is one of the defendents, so those suing are not short on IQ, if it turns out to be a hardware problem. Is not Microsoft the responcible party for a XBOX360 hardware issue?
It is interesting to me that so many take the side of the fat corporations that don't realy give a rats ass about you, and pile on to insult consumers trying to get the corporations to own up...
Could be some setting on the TV. Projection TVs are a little more tricky with black levels, and many don't do them well because of the high intensity light source used to create the picture image. Many newer DLPs do a better job, and there are probably some settings you can adjust to make it better.
When people open class action lawsuits because of a faulty product, it is not out of greed, but frustration from feeling cheated. No one makes out on a class action suit, except for the lawyers. The people that bring up these lawsuits are generally doing what they think is right for consumers, not trying to make a buck.
From Microsoft's perspective, they know the point is to just sell another 360. They know from consumer studies that people will just buy another box if the old one dies...reapetedly.
haha, I bought Wolfenstien despite not very good reviews. Probably because what they criticized about it, is what i miss most in good old FPS games. And much to my non-surprise, I really liked Wolfenstien because it gave me exactly what I expected from the reviews. An old school style FPS game, with some cool boss fights along the journey.
