But that is only poitned out in hindsight after having a lot of glitches.
What about games that are really fun, run great, and nobody even trips on the fact that it may be on a software engine that has been around for while? Would gamers avoid buying such a game, because of the date stamp on some of the code?
I don't care. I only evaluate the end result when it comes to games. Older software components don't automatically make for bad games. Newer engines don't necessarily mean fantastic dramatic improvements.
I still have the same simple mentality towards games. That is why I still enjoy them. One thing to keep in mind is access to share opinions on the Internet has exploded over the years. We may have seen the same annoying immature types of idiots posting about games back in the old days if everyone had a PC connected to the Internet. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people that act up when they can be anonymous, and feel empowered by having the Internet outlet to complain about every little th...
WTF does that even mean?
Go date real women. That's how you learn, noob.
I've heard it all now...people talking about how important it is to have a professional serious show to discuss the billion dollar game industry.
You guys really thing Attack of The Show was ever a serious show about the game industry? Really?
And I don't buy into the martyr mentallity of gamers wanting to be taken more seriously with their hobby, and needing advocates on TV for that. If it is already a multibillion dollar industry, then guess wha...
eye candy > insightful game talk on TV
I can waste time here to get the blah blah blah on games.
Olivia's aiight in my book.
ohh, pixelated represenations of women. How titilating & exciting. LOL. Wow, how can this turn on any normal human?
There is a cause and effect to everything like this in business. Sometimes the effects can be extreme, like companies deciding it is not in their best interest to sell products in certain countries. Sucks for gamers if it ultimately comes down to something like that down the road.
Most important difference to note between these two games IMHO:
Infamous is essentially a 3rd person shooter with very good controls (replace lightning for guns), mixed with platforming similar to Uncharted. Although open world, the game progresses linearly with introducing more powers, with game level design tightly incorporating use of those powers as you progress. The story is as easy to follow as any superhero comic book. You feel empowered to be a hero or villain, and ...
lol. Someone disagrees with what car I have, and what I can't afford? Just goes to show how useless this feature is on this web site.
Lesson to gamers...you need to expect all the stuff that was at first limited & exclusive to eventually come the masses as DLC. It is common practice now.
already own a modded out Murcilago...
But a free Jaguar-XJ13? Awesome. I can't afford the price tag on that one.
lighting/shadows look more realistic in the first screenshot. Looking good.
fanboys are all the same, regardless what brand name logo they have tattooed on their asses. Their opinions are infantile & irrelevent, because they are mindless kool aid drinkers.
If so many gamers were "jealous" of graphics alone when it comes to playing games, then the console makers wouldn't be doing such a great business.
Not knocking PC power at all, but accessible gaming means low price hardware & lots of content to choose from. That is why console gaming has surpassed the PC gaming businesss. Graphics are good enough on consoles right now for gamers not to really care about the difference in power a top of the line PC has fo...
You are missing the mark why people are critical. Core gamers don't like hype, and are quick to call it out when they see people famous for just being an analyst. There are probably tens of 1,000s of nonfamous people doing a better job at making predictions in the industry, but we don't have to keep hearing about them like they are celebrities. A poser is offensive to purists. A poser getting well paid is f*cking joke worthy of ridicule.
LOL, sometimes Gamesradar is pretty funny. The humor in the truth is what everyone knows - this dude is another latest phenom who is now famous just for being famous. But he is no more an authority on games than any kids I know that play them.
Someone here sees this with the same logic that I have.
I'm glad you made an irrelevent comparison like that. It reinforces my opinion on all this that the comparisons are totally irrelevent.
yes, it sounds like they made the PS3 version correctly, and not just did a halfassed port.
