@all Above. You guys are fanatics to the point where this is embarrassing. I am not sure why you are talking about Microsoft and Xbox when the discussion is about how the bet on Bungie impacted the output of 1st party Sony exclusives. You guys see one thing that puts Sony on a negative light and you are quick to defend and even name the competitor when they were not even mentioned in the initial discussion. One of you even tried to make investing in live service content a good thing. Most of ...
"No not at all. That is a bunch of lies you tell yourself so you can sleep at night."
Sounds like the kettle calling the pot black.
We all know there has been a significant decrease in single-player games output from Sony's 1st party studios. We haven't seen anything from Naughty Dog nor do we know what they are currently working on 4 years into the PS5's cycle. Sony has recently backed down from the live service stuff but any new ga...
I don't think you guys realize how much Damage Bungie failure has done to PlayStation and their fans. Sony placed a big bet on Bungie when they over paid for the.studio and shifted their focus into making live service games. That happened at the sacrifice of numerous possible 1st party PS5 exclusives you all could be playing.
@dveio All 3 companies buy out games and keep them off other console platforms, so let's not pretend that only Microsoft does it.
Sony has kept FF games off Xbox, made timed exclusivity deals with Bethesda games as well as made deals with multiple 3rd party publishers to have exclusive content for PlayStation.
After the Bethesda acquisition, news broke that Starfield was originally going to be a PS5 exclusive.

I also just remembered that Dragons Dogma 2 is not on the list.
Sad to see that Palworld and Granblue fantasy relink didn't make this list.
They speculate the PS5 slim will have the same issue because both the PS5 slim and the Xbox has to check in with an online server on the first startup.
This has nothing to do with fanboy business. We should all be pressuring these companies to stay on top of their game. I remember when there was backlash about the cmos battery issue with PS4 and PS5 consoles and Sony quickly resolved the issue.
I wasn't aware that Genshin Impact wasn't on Xbox. Xbox has not been doing a good job at ensuring games make it to their platform since last generation. Games from Asian countries seem to skip Xbox even from the Xbox one days. The genres that have a stronghold on that platform are shooters and sports titles.
I also didn't know Genshin Impact was still popular but ps time tracker has it in the top 20 most played games on PSN.

Not trying to be anti PlayStation but before anyone buys this, pause and consider that Sony is limiting support of the headset from 1st party studios. The price cut is likely to clear out unsold stock.

"Here’s a report that contradicts with the claim in Bloombergs second FUD piece. This shows a picture of market share that is far from bleak."
You are attempting to counter my Bloomberg article link with a Reddit post. Moreover, the market share chart confirms that PSVR2 is not performing as well as you believe. Like most tech products, it had a robust start due to early adopters. A closer look at Q4 2023 on your link reveals PSVR2 ho...

"Fail.
This is not Sony. This is FUD, and Sony knocked it down."
The article you mentioned refers to a separate Bloomberg report which alleged that Sony reduced its PSVR2 projections due to lackluster pre-order figures. Following the Bloomberg article, Sony's stock price suffered, prompting a swift response from the company to reassure stakeholders.
I have provided a link to the original artic...

"Ok. Can you show me where Sony said PSVR2 is below expectations? This is your claim."

Bloomberg originally reported on the story but I placed a link to the verge because no subscription is required. PSVR2 was doing so bad that Sony halted production of the headset.
I hope they move on from Odyssey. It is my least favorite 3D Mario game. If felt shorter and a huge step down from Mario Galaxy 1 & 2.
My proposal is that digital licenses should be bound to the individual who made the purchase rather than just an account. This ensures that if the account is banned, the individual still retains access to their digital content.
A secure digital marketplace should be established to enable the resale of digital licenses. Additionally, a 30% commission could be returned to the rights holder after a sale is completed.
Should digital content be removed from an...
It's unfortunate that the 360 store is shutting down. I hope they would make all 360 games backward compatible with the Series X.
Playing games natively on an Xbox 360 in 2024 is not something I'd advise. The titles from that era often had resolutions below 720p and frame rates under 30 fps. If there's no PC version or an enhanced version for the Series X, then emulation on PC would be my recommendation.
I haven't played GT7 but I did play both motorsport and Horizon. The issue I have with Motorsport is that it is a racing sim. Not my cup of tea it seems.
Horizon is actually fun to play and I like the set pieces where you are racing against fighter jets. The version I played was horizon 5 and the only flaws I found with it are it is sometimes no clear how to proceed further in the game and the music is not good. I wish I could load my own sound track in the game.
Anthem?
Did you read the article. The Xbox version was delayed because of the outage issue with crowdstrike. Nonehere they mentioned the series S.
I almost caved and was about to buy a descendant. I also felt I needed to support the devs in some way for the hrs I played. The cost is 300 Caliber but the $4.99 pack only comes with 250 Caliber. That disgusting pricing structure turned me off completely.
I may have used this site a few times. I got English translated patches and a few other rom hacks back in the day. This is sad as it has been around for nearly 20 years. I hope the owner can transition into something new that they enjoy doing and of course I hope someone else fills this niche.
