I remember last year the Xbox was heavily discounted during Black Friday. I wonder if this will come down from its inflated price when the time comes otherwise it would be better to buy a used PS5 on eBay for $350, buy a 2 TB expansion for $100 on Amazon and pick up a few games during the Black Friday sale.
Why do people keep making that point about cellphones. Gaming consoles can't do half of what those phones are capable of doing. I can connect my Samsung Galaxy to a monitor and change it into a desktop computer with access to productivity apps. There are also thousands of apps that enable additional functionality all while being portable.
Those graphics cards from Nvidia are overpriced but they still have many use cases outside of gaming. For example anyone working wit...
The reason you feel that way is because there has been nothing from Naughty Dog this generation. Gurella Games and Sony Santa Monica also released PS4 games.
I suspect that if we finally get to see what those studios are working on then we will all feel a whole lot better.
While it's weird not knowing what to look forward to from their best studios, we are still eating good from their 2nd and 3rd party exclusive games.
I got excited thinking they ported StarCraft to consoles but it's just the PC version. Also, I thought Starcraft 2 was already free to play.
There was a rumor about Microsoft allowing you to stream games you own and not just games on gamepass. Let's see if this is true.
While we haven't seen much this year from the studios that carried PlayStation through the PS3 and PS4 other than remasters. This was still a good year for PlayStation only gamers.
Luckily, those 2 games aren't that long. I haven't played Silent Hill 2, but I was able to platinum Astro bot in about 20 hours and that is with replaying a few stages just for the fun of it.
These comparisons are insane. How can the base PS5 be comparable to an Rtx 3060 when the Nvidia card has DLSS and better ray tracing.
In a more realistic world, the PS5 should be compared to the RX 5700. Therefore the PS5 pro will be comparable to the Rx 7700 xt. There is no way AMD is going to make a console GPU superior to their desktop GPU counterpart when they are actively trying to compete with NVidia for market share. This is based on theoretical performance because ...
This was an interesting read. Basically, they have already started development of the Elder Scrolls 6 using the creation engine and if they choose to switch to Unreal, it will add further delays as they will have to try to figure out how to modify the engine to do what they are currently doing in creation.
There is also an issue with modders not having the same level of freedom as they do with the current Bethesda titles since they also use the creation engine and are very...
Since I do not own those digital games, I think they now need to discount them across the board.
Don't let them overhype you. Wait for the actual gamers to check and let you know.
I remember when gaming journalists were overhyping Horizon Zero Dawn with the PS4 Pro when it came out, yet when I booted up the game on a PS5, I didn't notice a big difference from the PS4 version on a 4k display.
While it would make sense to release this in the month of Halloween, there was still a big risk of releasing this alone side major releases like Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, Black Ops 6, Silent Hill 2 Remake, Sonic X Shadow generations, Dragon Age Vailguard, Diablo 4 Vessel of hatred and Metaphor Refantazio.
Launching Until Dawn at full price placed it in competition with new games and given that the original aged well, many felt the current price was overpriced.
If they pull their console from Japan they may lose all support from Japanese developers.
It looks good though I wish they would have compared it with Halo Infinite instead of Halo 3. It better not take 10 years to make and be 30 fps.
Never bought v-bucks and never will
This is a welcome change. They need to bring back player vs bots.
As much as some of you see me bash the PS5 Pro. I still have many questions about it. I just hope some of you who pre-ordered it make yourselves available for questions.
This is good. I was getting worried that it would have been 30 fps.
The hype for this game is low. Compared to Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, which sold 3 million copies in 24 hrs, I haven't seen much coverage for Vailguard.
Bioware has been quiet for too long after Anthem so the hype that would normally be there for a Bioware game is almost Non-existent. They are going to need to get 9s and 10s across the board to regain the people's trust in the studio.
What time has told us is that gamers want consistency in quali...
