Educated guess based on 2 job ads?
I mean, they predict the strategy of a whole company on 2 job ads and you call it an educated guess. Well, we might have different definitions of the word "educated" then.

Seriously, this game should have been cancelled 2 years ago. It actually won a few "best of E3" awards 2009. It tells you something how reliable these awards really are.
This is pure speculation on Kotakus part and not good journalism.
I don't think they will leave the hardware business, but you can bet that their financial trouble does affect the PS4.
I know they are talking that gaming business will not be affected in any way, but the guys at Zipper, BigBig and Liverpool told me another story.
The Xbox 360 saw a holiday bundle since 2007. Sony makes one - MS follows SONY! Awesome.
Sony has the weakest holiday lineup ever and a (IMO) ugly new console for a higher price. The Vita is not doing so good either.
Nintendo has an aging Wii and a new console. How it actually does is unknown. The 3DS is doing quite well.
Microsoft has a solid holiday lineup and a pricecut.
Let's compare then.
story:
Halo - epic universe, dozens of battles, 6 books, TV series, rich background story of the protagonist etc etc.
CoD - random guy needs to kill another random guy.
Content:
Halo - Great singleplayer, great multiplayer, map editor, coop, episodic content after release, stats of all multiplayer matches, cinema to record your gameplay, Firefight
CoD - good multiplayer...
Actually they are hiring. Lionhead, Rare, Soho and London are the 4 Uk studios of MS and all are hiring.
MS plans to hire 100 new employees for game development studios in the next 8 months.

And the BioShock Infinite developers were just the beginning.
As many said before, it is a response to the Wii U and nothing else.

The Gaiming division lost money for the whole year in FY07, FY08, FY09, FY10. They made a small profit in FY11.
The division was about breaking even in FY12 (tiny loss of 3 million) and lost another 48 million in the past 3 months. This does not include Gaikai, so expect another 300 million USD loss for the next 3 months.

Why are so many people talking about the ads? I don't even notice them. I mean if you go to the video store and you see one icon with a link to a new released movie to get on VoD - Is that the 'oh so bad ad' for you?
Going to the games section and new DLC for Forza 4 is promoted - Is that a bad thing? I actually think it is more informative than annoying.
Anyway, people will try to find a bad thing about this as well. If MS cures cancer, N4G will...

This is so pathetic. Sony could still publish their games, just on the PC / Xbox 3 or Wii U. But anyway, fanboys are fanboys.
I played Xbox, Xbox 360, Sega Genesis, Gameboy, SNES, Playstation, Sega Dreamcast, N64, PS2 and of course PC / mobile games. Try to broaden your view guys.
I just don't like the God of War franchise and think it is overrated. A lot of people like it though, so I guess they can live without me. :-)
