Thanks.
Gears of War still has a lot to show IMO. Why was Marcus sent to jail in the first place? Make a game about e-Day? Make yourself conquer other planets from these creatures etc etc. Still some possibilities. It is a 1 billion Dollar franchise, it won't just end and that is it. Again, as long as the gameplay remains top, I have no problems with that.
1st: The video and the guys talking are NOT funny.
2nd: The list is just stupid.
Halo on No. 1? It is a freaking epic story and still the best multiplayer in the industry. Every major game is 90+ on metacritic, every major game sells millions.
I think as long as the quality is good, the franchise can live on. Uncharted saw 4 releases in 5 years, yet I don't see anybody claiming that it needs to die. Same reason like Halo: The quality is high. <...
Are those premium cars? Nevermind all of them are!

typo.
Here is the breakdown by platform:

8/10 for Xbox 360, with no. 1 and 2 being exclusive. Impressive.
I wanted to link directly to the chart, which can be found here: http://www.chart-track.co.u...
but the system tells me, this would be a duplicate story, because of this article from 2007.

Halo 4, Forza Horizon and Resident Evil for me.
*edit* funny that a PS3 page names Xbox 360 exclusives and no PS3 exclusives.
1.4 million is a very decent Q! You forgot that there were a lot of shortages end 2010 / early 2011. That is why retailers ordered that much consoles.
Heck the console is in its 8th year by now and still selling 1.4 million is quite impressive. Especially with no price cut since 2008 and a new SKU launchin next Q (The Star Wars one is not included!)
what a way to put it. Last year saw crazy high shipments for the Q ending march due to shortages. 1.4 million quite a good job. So far they are 100k ahead of their best financial year ever.
extra 100 Million USD for R&D (Xbox 720 is incoming!)
250 Million USD to Nokia
75 Million USD more for marketing. (Windows phone)
So yeah, Xbox 360 is a very healthy business right now.
So this is one guy pulling numbers out of thin air according to a LinkedIn Page. And we have a crowd of N4Gs going crazy about those numbers.
To monetize XBL can mean everything from offering stuff like 1vs100 again to offer special sales on games / avatar stuff or whatever. Heck it could even mean to expand their reward program.
Gaming journalism is just like the review-system: broken.
The Sony business needs quite drastic changes in order to be successful again.
- Playstation is profitable now, but there is no chance they will ever recoup the losses of the past 5 years (6 if you count R&D)
- TVs are losing money since 2004 I guess. No chance at all against Samsung or LG. They need to reduce their costs. Massively.
- Digital Cameras: No chance against Fuji, Canon or Kodak.
- Cell phones: No chance agai...
The profits MS makes on XBL must be freaking huge.
these graphics are welcome for Xbox 3 and PS4.
*edit* of course ingame graphics like this CGI-stuff.
@MR Beatdown
Why is one source that proves you wrong not okay? Sure kinect increased the average price tag of the Xbox 360, but so did Move bundles. Move flopped, so the bundle did not sell too well and the PS3 average price did not increase that much. Just Logic here. If Move was successful, the price average price would have increased as well.
And worldwide was a win for Xbox 360 in 2011. To quote Bloomberg:
"Microsoft’s entertainment...
why?
I said I doubt that it won't be on PS3. And according to this:

It is "confirmed" for PC and Xbox 360 so far. PS3 version is likely to follow.
So what am I trolling?!
not on PS3?! Doubt it.
For those of you saying this is not big news:
Look at it this way: The profits of Microsoft in the past 9 months are enough to acquire 100% of the Sony corporation. This tells you how bad the things are looking for Sony.
Again a cool concept poorly executed? I hope not.
This might influence PS4 at the end. A company that is worth 19 billion USD can't afford a product that starts with a 3 billion USD loss for the first three years.
I am hoping for a $150 million blockbuster movie some time in the future.
