I don't get it, why they name it like that. Just say: We need good developers for the current gen.
Respawn Entertainment is fine, but it is "only" a EA Partner, not owned by EA in any way. They can basically go with any other publisher whenever they feel like it. Like Crytec is partnering with Microsoft for Ryse, even though EA is publishing Crysis (2).
Activision on the other hand secured Bungie for 10 years. Chances are pretty high they come up with something great as well. I really hope it is not a MMO though.

I think this would fail. It would probably be a good machine but it just won't do the trick. Valve as a company has not the money to step into the ring against Nintendo, Sony and MS. Look at all the losses the PS3 made for Sony (the ones of the original Xbox would even be enough). Valve would be broke and MS would acquire them and totally own the PC gaming market.

1. A year is a year. 4Qs, 12 months! In 2011 Xbox 360 outsold the PS3. Swallow it.

Overshipping... lamest excuse since 2006. MS ships what retailers order. Retailers ordered more 360s than PS3s, because they saw the Xbox 360 outperforming the PS3. MS can't force retail...
The PS3 did not sell massively well. It was outsold by the Xbox 360 even with a price cut and Sony lowered the projection by 1 million as well.

this will sell less than most blockbster games in the past years (CoD, Halo, Gears, Uncharted etc). So IF it really sells out, it must be due to very, and mean VERY VERY, bad distribution by Sony.

All companies bundle their hardware with software. So this argument is pure damage control.
what happened to the VGC was founded by a Xbox fanboy talk. Shipment shows a clear picture of Xbox winning over PS3 but now PS3 is the true winner thanks to VGC... awesome N4G, just awesome.
Fable, Fable II were great games! Fable III was decent.
