yes. Consoles just feel old to me these days. As a Xbox 360 owner I think Halo 4 will be a very good way to end a generation.
This needs to be said: This generation was awesome. So many new ways that enhanced the gaming experience. Online for Sony and Nintendo (I know PS2 and GCN had it before, but please...), Arcade / PSN / WiiWare titles that secured hours of fun, Achievements / Trophies and quite a few new franchises like Uncharted, Gears of War, Alan Wake, inFamous etc. ...

The point is all this "10 year plan", "futureproofed technology" talk Sony used was aimed at MS. Now it turns out that the Xbox 360, even though it released a year earlier than the PS3 will last longer without a successor on the market. So the Xbox 360 has a 10 year lifecycle as well and was just as futureproofed as the PS3.
So all this "we have a 10 year plan and MS doesn't" was just stupid PR talk?! Who would have thought.

It is basically the same demographic / target audience MS and Sony are going after. The differences are very tiny. There is no such thing like "the ps3 owner plays more games and the 360 owner watches all these entertainment apps".
Netflix even has more PS3 users than Xbox 360 users. Which is telling you something because there are waaaayy more Xbox 360s in the US than PS3s and netflix is basically NA only.

You are talking about profit in the last year. That is where the PS3 is. They have to recoup the losses from 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 first. Plus R&D in 2005.

I am still hating on EA for ruining Westwood. Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 were the first 2 PC games I spent countless hours on online gaming. I even managed to get in the Top 50 worldwide for Red Alert 2.
Nothing but great times when I think back.
