Neither Alan Wake, nor Minecraft are exclusives.
Minecraft is available now on pc (it's original home), and Alan Wake is up for pre-order on Pc now on Steam.
Pretty failed article.
I think most of the general consumer base wants cheaper next gen consoles. The average gamer just plays a few gamers per year, and the hefty cost of a 400-600 dollar console just isn't justified, unless you're well off.
The devs realize this, and they would certainly make more money if more people buy the consoles.
I don't know anyone who is playing this game...
but I'm glad they're supporting it at least.
I've really enjoyed every Splinter Cell game, even if Conviction was a bit different.
I'll happily play the next one. I'm sure it's going to be great.
I was using examples from other games as well, not specifically gears of war, but gears of war 3 did indeed use aiming down the sights on some weapons. (the hammerburst is an example).
Gears of War did a lot of things that just worked really well. Now those elements are just a part of games. Such as regenerating health, and aiming down gun sights. There comes a point when things are no longer cloning, just merely a part of gaming.
Cover based shooters are going to be a part of gaming for a long long time. People need to get used to that.
Anything that works really well is going to be used over and over.
The PS2 supported 4 controllers with the multitap.
The last I heard, the Wii U console actually processes and broadcasts the video to the controller, thus the controller itself does not rendering.
Having 3 displays running at the same time seems like a far fetched idea based on the rumored specs (And nintendos latest hardware lacking any real power). A lot of power would be required, unless the video fidelity on the controllers is awful.
The other option is making the controller do processing, which would drive the controller...
I still play the crap out of this game. I approve :)
I actually quite enjoyed the first game, so I'll be giving this one a shot as well.
I'm excited.
Seems like a bit of an excessive list for most people, but most of it is pretty useful, especially if you build on a daily basis. But anyone who builds on a daily basis shouldn't need this list.
People complain about change, then people complain about no change...very very odd.
I'll happy accept the change and enjoy the crap out of the game when it comes out.
Even Farcry 2 was pretty good when you looked past it's flaws.
I am a huge fan of both Dirt, and Grid, but the demo really bored me.
The physics were...just easy. The game felt hollow I guess :/
Felt more like a kids game.
If Microsoft is Liscensing it out to Sony, the make money on Sony's console, and their own. They win either way. It's incredibly logical business, and quite practical.
If Sony is smart, they'll adopt the standard. It would great increase their multiplatform appeal.
This could be the best thing to happen to gamers in a long time.
Less fragmentation, less trouble for developers.
Games would be easier to develop, and thus the quality would improve.
They do, but it's able to be used and licensed out like other products.
All the Nextbox and PS4 need is a compatible video card and os and they're ready to roll.
Like America?
Yeah, it's usually the server holding peoples downloads back, not the connection speed itself.
If my 25 megs per second actually meant something I could download huge files in no time.
Let's see, 25 megs per second...= 1.5 gigs per minute. Yeah, not happening.
I remember it overheating my Wii and causing odd video issues afterwards...
but other than that I don't remember much good coming from WiiConnect 24.
Wow, good deal but this site is covered in pop up ads. Avoid.
