You do realize that the hardware that apple sells in it's computers is the same stuff that you could easily purchase elsewhere at a much lower price right?
The hard ware is NOT made by apple. It's the same parts that go into every other pc. The only differences are going to be the case, and the OS.

What I would be more interested is at what levels will the games be ran? Sure, it can run Crysis, but will I be able to play it at max graphical settings like a high end rig? Will graphics settings scale forward and back when more or less people get on the service? That's what I'm curious about.
I would hate to be playing games at uber low settings due to server strain.

I think this is nintendos way of making consumers purchase a new system, without actually having to invest in new technology. The did the same thing with the gamecube-wii transition. Throw in a new gimmick, a new case and sell it as new.

The original Crysis ran MUCH better for me. On two different builds actually. I don't know what gives.
Crysis warhead to me seems much worse as far as optimizations.
With the tech they have developed, and the complex algorithms designed for this, I could see there being very little lag. Maybe un noticeable. Couldn't be any worse than bad frame rates in games because the computer can't keep up...
So I'm pretty excited. If it works as well as the demo shows, it's going to rock.

They mention it runs at 60fps, on a pc you don't know. Every configuration is different.
I want a real review for the pc copy. I want to know if there are better visuals, and any gameplay additions. No mention of controls for keyboard and mouse. This is lame!

Never made it to pc. I played it on my xbox. I'll be picking it up for my PC now. I'm excited! Love this game. It will be cheap too.
I don't see why this matters. Does anyone really want this mode anyway? I won't be playing it for downloadable death match. I'll be playing it for the campaign. The real multiplayer is already included. Such a minor little mode to be arguing over. If noone buys it, they'll probably give it away,or cut the price anyway.
Why do people think that the capacity of a disk has anything to do with a games visuals? Really? How about Crysis? That fit on a SINGLE dvd, and is the most impressive game out there hands down. However neither the PS3 or the xbox 360 can handle that. And that's running on a standard dual or quad core processor. No fancy 100 core processors here.
You guys need to back off all these miss beliefs. Anyone here actually build computers? I do. And I know what can be done.

Well anyone who pays that for a Mac is still an idiot. The pc is still the better value. By far. I can build a rig of that standard for about half that. On top of that, I don't have to buy expensive mac programs.
Regardless of which system you choose, here is the sad truth.
By the time PS3 sales start to catch up, the next Xbox will be on the shelves. Sony will be pushing their long shelf life, and will simply fall more and more behind. I feel like they are the next Sega. Which is sad considering how awesome the PSX and PS2 where.
End the end, the best decision is the pc. Choose exactly what you want in it. If it's unreliable, it's your own fault.

Tomb raider was good. The best in the series I think. Mirrors Edge wasn't over rated at all. Over hyped yes.
Really, is there a notable difference? As long as frame rates hold up, I could care less about the minute difference that you can see when you stare at single frames. Are you guys counting pixles or playing the game? I know why I bought it.

So I own a 360, and had owned a PS3, got rid of that overpriced piece of hardware...
Anywho. I play most of my games on my pc. The graphics kill anything on the consoles. The expensive part comes when people are trying to upgrade weak out of date computers to make them keep up. Build something good, around 800 bucks, and play it for years. In a few years drop another few hundred in and be killing it again. Pc's are highly scalable.
