Crackdown 2 was pretty disappointing.
The original was super addicting and fun though.
If they do another, they should wait until next gen and do something a bit more impressive.
50 bucks for 20 maps...
or
60 bucks for 9 maps, the base experience, and a complete single player campaign...
I guess there is some value there when you look at it that way, but keep in mind that some of us (myself included) already have the Karkland maps.
If there was some more gadgets thrown in, some gameplay improvements, visual optimizations, and some truly unique game modes I would be all in.
But as is, it's just maps. I'll probably buy t...
It's practically the price of an entire new game.
To me, that seems silly.
My money is worth more than that. If I'm dropping that much money, I'm buying Max Payne.
Now, if I had more resources I might consider it, but I think the average gamer has to include price in his/her decision making.
Are you paid to post here or what?
Man.
Anyway...
really wish these games would make it to pc eventually. Jonesin.
I don't mind. I'm just happy it's coming.
I'll play it however they gave it to me.
I didn't complain when Mass Effect didn't support controllers at ALL on their pc port. I'm not complaining this time. Just bring me the game.
Smartest thing I've saw here in a long time.
Carnage is a beast!
Venom is my personal favorite. They've really not done the symbiote justice lately.
Because they are making games for the system.
If they hype it up, you may buy the console. If you own the console, you may buy the game.
If you don't own the console, no game sale, no money for the developer.
Simple as that. Don't trust developers when it comes to praising a system. They're all after your money.
That's what they said about the Wii...
I personally don't think the Wii graphics improved at all.
The hardware they're using is pretty much old tech, that's already been optimized and figured out long ago. I wouldn't get your hopes up too much on that one.
Does the 720p include resolution rendered by the controller too? Or is that separate?
720p, minus the controller resolution would be like...640 or something max...
Just wondering.
Anyone else hoping for a Maximum Carnage remake?
I wouldn't pay more than 50 bucks for a Wii U game, but then again I very rarely buy a game at launch.
I think you have missed something here. We are talking about a game that already runs at a maximum of 30 frames, not 60.
The original question:
"What happens if the game is doing 30fps before you connect a second game pad?. "
Your reply:
"Then nothing would Change."
This is what I was referring to. If the game is already running at it's maximum, and that maximum is 30fps, and you add an additional load, then the game would eithe...
That's a good question.
Don't listen to above...anytime to add another display/more resolution it's going to take resources away from the processor/cpu. Nothing is free when it comes to rendering.
Something has to give...
that or the game simply wouldn't support two Wii U tablet controllers.
Yeah I really wasn't interested in 3.
No real improvements, or innovations there.
Just more.
I have to say, the two games that really caught me this year are
Watch Dogs, and Last of Us.
Some other fun looking games,
Need for Speed Most Wanted, Rayman, Starwars 1313, Far Cry 3.
Otherwise it's mostly a bunch of sequels, some that look great. Mostly though, too many sequals!
Good card, but I don't think game is pushing the boundaries THAT hard. Just fantastic art direction, and attention to detail.
I'm very excited though. It's good to see a developer really pushing their stuff.
New IP's really have to make a smash to land well these days.
Looks great, just doesn't look like the Splinter Cell I used to know and love.
Spider-Man is just sooo perfect for video games. I really hope this turns out great.
Otherwise, just give me a Maximum Carnage reboot. That'lldo.
It's pretty simple really.
You move around, and when you attack an enemy, it checks the local environment and chooses an animation based on what can/can't be used around you.
Movement is free, but once you push the attack button it runs through a preset animation, and you regain control.
From a developers standpoint, it's pretty simple. It's interactive scripts.
