Saying the same things they said about Sony with the PS3 and it didn't hurt them in the long run. Everyone, but Microsoft seems to know everything about everything and how a console, the world, and the universe is supposed to work. There is no doubt Microsoft's XB1 has issues, but 4 months is simply not enough time to say "Game Over" for the XB1.
What this article has stated is something the 360 and XB1 are precisely trying to work on. Cloud computing has allowed the A.I. controlled cars called drivetars in Forza 5 to become painfully realistic. Voice and motion control without the controller is also being worked on with KINECT. It isn't perfect, but compared to what the PS3 and PS4 is offering it is worth acknowledging that Microsoft is trying to make it work. Microsoft's botched launch means they have so many other probl...
I really can't tell so I don't care. Does it affect immersion? No, it does not. Therefore, the graphics downgrade if it can truly be called that is only something to complain about for not reason.
What matters is games and so far even though the PS4 has slightly better graphics in some of there games and to me even that is debatable it isn't enough of difference to matter for immersion. All the harping people are doing about the 50% raw performance over the XB1 has so far meant nothing. So 1080p so what? I don't notice so I don't care. Who cares besides a fanboy? I don't see that 50% boost in graphics, game play, or presentation. Finally, if DX12 can help the XB1 t...
I think it is more pathetic than amusing. Kind of like playing a Call of Duty game for it's multiplayer. :-)
When they "fixed" the ending and gave you an option "not to choose" they should have just ended the game without a resolution that said you failed and let people imagine there own ending because no one had more emotion wrapped up than the person playing the game.
Personally, I think this game is too dark regardless of system. This game is also crap because graphics are merely okay and the game play and level design suck. On top of that you have the whole 720p vs. 1080p or frame rate argument that really goes nowhere and really isn't worth arguing about on a game like this.
The person who wrote this article only has 5 games on his list. The exclusive versions coming out for XB1 in 2014 I found at least 13. Found these on the Gamingbolt website. The article isn't very accurate - although I do agree with some of his points.

People have been saying the future doesn't look good since last February, which is just over a year ago. I admit Microsoft hasn't done as well as what I would expect and Sony has had a very good launch and continued the momentum. While Microsoft's XB1 console is definitely in 2nd place I don't think it matters at this point when the console life cycle is expected to be at least 8 years. Plenty of time to turn things around. I think Microsoft's biggest problem is the pr...
While I feel it is mostly the parent's responsibility to watch the child I also feel there should be some accountability on the part of the developer and publisher. We aren't talking about hundreds, but thousands of dollars. $6670.00 (USD). No one should be able to spend that kind of money on Micro Transactions.
I would think Sony would cut these people loose because they need money whereas Microsoft has over 280 billion in the bank regardless of what console you choose. It makes sense from a financial standpoint.
I'm sure the numbers in the polls equal exactly nothing.
And once again it still doesn't matter as long as the game looks good.
Ultimately we will not know if they win or lose for another 8 or so, which is the expected life cycle of the current generation consoles. It is interesting to me that I don't remember seeing news articles like this projecting that Sony was losing the game. Both consoles are doing great and that is what is important for the consumer. If 1 console actually wins over the other there is less reason for Sony and it's developers to take risks on innovating do to reduced competition since ...
I liked the combat in the demo and the graphics, but that isn't enough for me in this case. I need a decent story and so far several websites have said the story is not very good. Going from point A to B is only fun if you feel it is worthwhile and for me that means a decent story.
Doubtful. It may beat the XB1 by 3-6 months, but that is all. We are still in the honeymoon period. Once a few more months have passed we will definitely be able to predict more trends. Regardless I hope they both do well because more competition typically means more value for the consumer at a lower price point.
What really matters is the game looking good and playing well. If that is the case the whole resolution vs. resolution and frame rate vs. frame rate is a nonsense argument.
Whether the streaming service really works or not depends on how much control Sony demands. If they demand total control it will not work. Partial control may work, but then it comes down to details. What Pachter never bothers to explain is all the details of why he believes something wouldn't work. That is after all what he is paid for so why give it out for free?
People constantly give Pachter a hard time and granted they have a point to certain extent. However, when he speaks he is not speaking to gamers even if he makes his remarks to a gaming website. He is speaking to investors that want ideas on where to invest there money. Other than a casual obsession he may have with video games I doubt he cares about whether it makes a difference to him what gamers think. The languages of investment and playing video games doesn't necessarily translat...
If digital downloads are going to work there needs to be choices. If I didn't have to worry about storage and never losing any of the games or content I purchase then I would have less of a problem with it. However, until that theoretical zone of ability to store all I want is realized brick and mortar with a physical copy is the way to go. The irony for the PS4 and XB1 also has possible legal implications digital downloads. After all the idea is to get rid of the disc. They will be ...
