I can say with 100% certainly if there ends up being a subscription I will end up not buying the game.

When the statements in this article actually become true there would be no need to purchase a console. Therefore, I am skeptical of the claims made by the author.

Does the whole thing mean they are the only trademark holders that can use it in a video game? A random search using Google Search and "Eden Falls" brought up a minimum of 2 different groups with the name already. 1 is a town "Eden Falls, Arkansas" and the other a cave called "Eden Falls Cave". I'm sure there are a few businesses associated with both that already have the name in use.

Without an operating system such as Windows, which isn't part of the physical build the hardware is essentially worthless for PC gaming. I suppose you could go with LINUX, but then you probably wouldn't be able to play ALL your favorite games. So when the reality check is done the $475 should be more like $575.

A $40 demo is a crap demo. Doesn't even matter if the gameplay or story is good. Makes me long for Micro transactions. Please EA, we didn't mean it! We love Micro transactions. We would rather have those then $40 for a demo and $60 for the full game!

Do you really think they will not be in the game? If someone reports a bug in the game do you think the developers or testers will play through the entire game just to test for that 1 bug to verify it? Of course not - they will use cheat codes to bypass parts of the game so they can get at the reported problem more easily. After launch the game will still have problems so while they may not be published they will most likely still be there. People will find them.

The cheat codes were originally used by developers to test part of the game without having to play the whole game. It is unlikely they will be removed because the game will still have to be updated as bugs are found and removed. Playing the entire game just to get to the final story mission and test for a bug is not economically viable. The developers simply don't have that kind of time. They probably will just not publish the cheat codes the programmers or game testers use.

The cloud is nothing more than clustered computing over the Internet. This is the same thing businesses with large databases having been using for at least 2 decades. Making it available to work with video games is the real accomplishment. Any stock exchange in the world uses this technology and now it has been brought to video games over the Internet.

One of the users "BrutallyHonest" commenting said "show me the games". He/She has a point. At the same time Microsoft's allies and competitors are saying the same thing: "DX12 will double performance". Either they are blowing smoke or they know something we don't. Personally, I can't see them ruining there reputation for integrity to be Microsoft's boy or girl. Hopefully, at E3 will see what all the fuss is about.

What people seem to forget DX12 is a multiplatform API. If you license it you can use it. There is absolutely no reason the PS4 couldn't use it if some developer wanted to. However, it is probable it would drive up costs of development. However, a PC game that might be a port from a PS4 console will almost definitely use it even though OpenGL which is closer to what the PS4 uses is also available simply because it is MORE optimized on the PC than the OpenGL APIs.

I really can't tell which is supposed to be better. Comparing night on 1 side and day on the other side is a complete waste of time. For an actual comparison of graphics you need to be looking at the same stream of video at the same time for a factual comparison. The only thing this proof does is show the incompetence of the person who edited it.

Personally, I typically wait to share the hate until I see how things are going for a particular technology I may be interested in. As for the Oculus Rift it has possibilities, but my concern would be how well it works with prescription glasses. 75% of people where some form of corrective lenses and 64% of those are wearing eyeglasses. While I could probably use the Oculus Rift without my prescription glasses it would also give me a headache later. As for Carmack he is the Chief Technical Of...

From GlassesCrafter.com - "According to the Vision Council of America, approximately 75% of adults use some sort of vision correction. About 64% of them wear eyeglasses..." -- If the Oculus Rift is the future it will need to change the design or make sure you can use your prescription glasses with the device. Otherwise it will only be a niche market of a niche market. And before anyone tries to say gaming isn't still a niche market it is nothing in sales compared to going to o...

"Opinion: Microsoft Will Leave the Console Race Before Nintendo" --- For those of you who don't actually read the article they are saying just the opposite. They feel even if the console business is sold to someone else the X-Box is going nowhere and they doubt it will be sold anytime soon.

When I read how CONVOLUTED it was ordering from the X-Box Live store I didn't see how it was really CONVOLUTED at all. In fact if you don't want to worry about the warranty you can just type into the Google Search bar "xbox one power supply" and offers pop up with prices without even having to go to the web page. They ranged from $25-$30 (USD). Compared to a laptop or netbook power supply that is cheap.

Just be happy with whatever value you believe your chosen system is and stop trying to justify your purchase to the world. I don't have either and probably will obtain a PS4 at some point, but just because you FEEL something doesn't make it a wrong choice for someone else to value there console of choice.

If you charge money for a demo doesn't that mean the demo has to stand on it's own merits and NOT be considered as part of a larger game? I mean you're paying for a slice and it isn't like your receiving a discount for a future slice of the if you don't like the game play.
