What I find hilarious is the big deal this is making about 1080p/60fps. The game ran and looked fine before. People make to much about graphics and frame rate.

I suspect the classes and races will end up having different capabilities and starting weapons at least. Otherwise, there is no real reason to have the different classes or races. The Alpha release was probably to test various aspects of the game. If the balancing details of the classes or races hasn't been decided on yet it is better that they are all equal to avoid setting future expectations.

Basically, the comparison is all but useless since images are not the same image and some were taken at different times of day and at different angles. From a photograph perspective they are not even close enough for a genuine comparison other than to say "duh, the PS4 is better than 8 year old technology!"

Could care less about the bigoted cliches. Love the trailer. Can't wait for the game. People place way to much emphasis on political correctness. If you don't want the game don't buy it.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

The original Mass Effect trilogy felt like an origin story. Now you might have an origin of the origin. It might be a rich universe, but there isn't enough for another origin of an origin story. Hopefully, it will be sometime after the original trilogy. I prefer to move forward instead of back.

Microsoft announced over a month ago they would be selling a KINECT less XB1 at a reduced price. I would think that would affect sales just as much as anything else. People put off buying the XB1 because they knew a less expensive version was coming. You're not dealing with the first adopters or impulse buyers so much anymore.

If this isn't the 10th game of the series then the marketing people need to figure something else out because it is far more likely that people will assume it is the Roman Numeral "10". If that isn't what it means what the hell is an "X" and why should we care?

I will bet Microsoft never thought up this angle.

I believe 7 of the 10 items in the list Microsoft's XB1 can already do. There is no reason from a consumer standpoint that the PS4 shouldn't be able to do them to. The other 3 are specific to the PS4 such as the light bar comment or cross-Vita functionality.

They are winning battles. The United States did that in Vietnam, but guess what - they lost the war. So in order to "win the war" the PS4 needs to continue to innovate. And they are not winning so much that they can ignore what there main competition can do compared to what they can't do.

Unless people plan to buy an XB1 specifically to play this game then it still makes sense to sell NEW games for the 360. I doubt Microsoft believes this is system seller all by itself.

Due to the interactive nature of video games they MIGHT have a greater impact on someone vs. simply WATCHING TV or movies. There isn't enough research to go either way. Most studies show links to positive results for playing video games such as increased hand/eye coordination and decision making. Any child not playing an age appropriate video game can be scarred for life just like if they are not watching an age appropriate TV show or movie.

You mean it wasn't there before? That just seems a really stupid move not to self promote to your captive audience. I mean I doubt if after people spending $500 at launch or $400 now you would want to know if your fancy box is turning on or not. PS: I don't own an XB1 or PS4.

Nvidia is making the same sort of moves Microsoft did that allowed them to become a monopoly. If Nvidia isn't careful and takes too much of the market they may be forced to open the architecture or be fined massive amounts of money as a "should have known" and "ignorance is no excuse". This is how Netscape was defeated with Internet Explorer and any other Media Player was defeated by Windows Media Player being included in Windows. Anti-trust trial in U.S. for Intern...

The PS4 requires an internal hard drive no larger than 2.5 inches thick. As of about 6 months ago there was only 1 company that made a 2TB 2.5 inch hard drive and you can be sure it is far more expensive than the XB1 solution. I haven't been able to confirm it, but I suspect the max hard drive size on a PS4 will be limited by whatever is in the filesystem used from FreeBSD 9.0 (version of UNIX developed by U.C. Berkley), which is what the PS4 operating and file system is based on

Any version of Windows after Vista should also be able to support up to 16TB provided the operating system and computer is 64-bit and the BIOS has the necessary support. If you have the necessary BIOS support, but still run a 32-bit version of Windows you can use a drive larger than 2TB, but the largest volume or formatted size of the partition is limited to 2TB or smaller. The USB 3.0 limitation is probably an artificial limitation by Microsoft to make sure data can be transferred quickly ...

Microsoft has had so many missteps it is hard to know where to begin, but I will try for those less edumacated than myself. Restrictive DRM, Always Online requirement, Used games policy allowed only by authorized entities, less powerful hardware, and $100 more expensive due to a beta product not ready for the real world despite the time and money Microsoft invested into it. Most of that junk have gone away, but if Microsoft really believed in there Kinect vision they would have dropped the ...

So the skilled players will still be better, but not so much better because there equipment and everything else makes them a God as opposed to merely a veteran. I think that is preferable to being so far outclassed by someone whom can pull off a Nuke or AC-130 anytime they want with there ridiculous 30 to 1 kill ratios. Call of Duty has only become a game where a veteran can truly advance. Everyone else is left out in the cold.
