Nice presentation, their response to the inevitable question regarding team Ico influences are interesting. Some horrendous pop in during the second video but overall the graphics are looking like they can do the beautiful art direction justice.
Namco Bandai are merely the publishers, Game Republic is the developer. Would you feel different if EA, Square Enix or Sony were handling the publishing? I'm not saying the publisher has no influence on the final product but at the end of the day its the developers pedigree you should be focussing on.
I could be horribly wrong but this game looks to be a sleeper hit in the making, I hope Namco put some money into advertising as I'd hate to see this game go the way of ...
Criminally neglected game so far, I guess the kids do just want shooting, blood and gore. Absolutely love the art style of this game, beautiful colours and particle effects and those silhouette style cut scenes bring me right back to my childhood when we used to get Czech/Fench shadow animations of classic fairytales broadcast on TV.
I never would have thought that a low key multi-platform title would become my most anticipated game of the year but with this genre so thin on...
@Too Pawned, whose exaggerating? You may know nothing about this game but some people have been following its progress for quite some time. There was a developers diary website for the past year which was only closed recently. No less reason to get excited about this game than any other title on the horizon.
I'm far from being an expert but I don't think those girls are Japanese.
Looking good, great to see Pigsy is in there, he'll be leching over Trip for sure. ;-)

One of the most beautiful looking games this generation..as much as I love dark and dystopian themes and the muted browns and greys that represent them it is nice to have our dear old friend colour visit us once in a while in a good old fashioned fairy tale setting.
"Games can't do dram"?? Well he really should concede that they have quite a lot in common with Jerry Bruckheimer movies so, his own J.B financed directorial dross included.
I hope Pigsy and Sandy make an appearance in some form, their take on cloud surfing looks great.
"Highly anticipated" ??...as if.
I think he'll play other games instead, I know I will, this game has trash written all over it.
@dredre74
Eh inFamous is just over a year old, released late May 2009..so in your world 12 months + 1 and a half months equals 2 years?
I used to believe that all the fan boys ranting about certain magazines and websites being anti-Sony was nonsense. Edge have put in some stellar work to make me look like a right idiot.
My god they are raping this article for every little ounce of information. They may as well post the entire magazine interview on their site, sorry that wouldn't be conducive to scoring hits though would it.

I have to disagree about inFamous being over hyped. inFamous did suffer from some very boring repetitive side quests but the main story missions, occasional set pieces and boss battles were far more interesting than anything the first Assassins Creed had to offer. The controls were beautifully responsive and the combat was far more enjoyable imho, and as far as story and narrative goes I think inFamous was by far the more involving game. I do agree that there cert...
Wait until its commercials are showing three times in a single ad break during the build up to Xmas, Microsoft will blitz the hell out of the airwaves with Kinect and its got that shiny "new" gimmick factor that Joe Public is just going to lap up. I'll be surprised if the initial sales aren't huge but after that it may not hold attention.
Never thought I'd say this about an Iga game..but this can stay on XBL for all I care. It looks like the dream of a 2.5D HD Castlevania will never be realised, this game looks cheap and lazy, Konami either have Iga and his team working on a minuscule budget or the guy is just completely burnt out.
"The chick runs and jumps through the level, but needs to be carried through the mine feild? Just looks so cheesy."...eh because she can't see the mines, the imagery from the mech dragonfly is uploaded to Monkeys headband.
"Not much going on other than 2 characters running around"...versus the usual 1 character running around in 99% of games?
I hope this is a straight up music visualizer and not another d.tuned, I use my PS3 as a music player a lot and I've been wanting some new visualizers badly. If this is limited to interactions with Baiyan's music only I'm not interested.
