It's a lot more heart warming and cheerful than Folklore was, Folklore had a pretty dark story as you got into it. Graphically its not as spectacular as Folklore, probably due to Folklore being a linear affair, whereas this is more open world in design. The demo is quite drab as its set in a dungeon style area and doesn't show any other environments, but once you enter outdoors you'll instantly recognise that Game Republic style, lots of bloom, iridescent butterflies, glowing part...
15 minutes of a 20-30 hour adventure is not really a good indication. I was totally unimpressed with the Castlevania demo, it barely even hinted at what was to come, I'm glad I didn't judge the product on that alone.
The embargo lifts today, expect the reviews to start appearing soon. If Twitter posts are anything to go by, both Videogamer.com and Destructoid will have very favorable reviews.

At the start of this generation, I was all about finding that "next gen" experience, top quality visuals etc. After Demons Souls I realised how much I much I've been hankering for something decidedly old school and thankfully Japanese developers, perhaps to their own detriment, are filling that void. Great service although the collection of movies available to watch in Ireland is not huge and I've seen probably 90% of the classics. Will definitely sign up for a monthly subscription as a test run.

The demo was very brief but has left me wanting more, ordering the Majin around is easy and despite the glaring technical shortcomings of the graphics the visuals are still very nice, the Majin's animations are great and I love the amount of detail gone into the mosaics etc. Plenty of style.

Thanks Fishy, sound advice but to be honest if I ever took the KDR seriously I would have given up playing mutiplayer shooters a long time ago. Still, its always nice to have a mediocre to good performance. ;-)
I'm miles from being a top tier player in KZ2 but I'm fast becoming the team gimp in this beta, gotta get familiar with those maps, I'm really getting wupped.

Yeah, I'm really hyped about this one. A word of warning though, many early previews have stated that the game is lacking quite a bit on the technical front, poor textures and low polygon counts etc. If that is the kind of thing to really bother you I'd give it a miss, I personally couldn't care less, the art style and premise are enough to win me over.
