Sick of hearing people complain about the "cheap" kills of the Chameleons, I'm all for innovation in gaming but I loved the old school trial and error instant kills they brought to the game. Most of us older gamers cut our teeth on similar mechanics, a era when poor timing cost you your gaming lifes. I certainly never saw enough death screens at the hands of the Chameleons to frustrate me in the least. A lot of gamers today expect continuous progression through a game with minimal s...
Silogons at it again.....yaawwnnn
I think you should all be happy with the confirmed footage of God of War and Uncharted. Yet again people are setting themselves up for a fall thanks to unfounded rumors.
@Blaze929 whats with all the "wtf??" I'm guessing you were never a fan of Monty Python?
"fire their marketing team" maybe but not for this ad..its a few years old, it was broadcast at the height of the Ps2's powers in 2005. It was funny as hell, it was surreal and it done nothing but further the coolness of an already huge brand. Great to see it again.
I'm loving the visual style for this one, beautiful colors very similar to Folklore.
Absolutely fascinating piece of news......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
"EPIC FAIL" = Epic Fail
Jayzus I'm getting sick of people using the same old tired sayings online.
PWN, Epic Fail, FTW, Wow just Wow, No just No. etc.
I fear for the English language if these people actually talk like this in reality.
@ LinuxGuru
Great idea, but I'm only expecting changes in baby steps and a quick tweak to the existing setup would placate me for now. I really hope in the future file search is implemented though.
Make the bloody music player more user friendly!! I get my hopes up every update that they will allow A-Z folders by artist rather than song title, how hard is it. I guess nobody at Sony has tried to manage 60GB+ of music on a PS3, it takes forever to scroll from A-Z. I know its not a music player, but it is my one and only livingroom media hub and its so close to being damn perfect in every other aspect. :-(
Silogon..are you on the social?? You're always here.
@ Pennywise
Gotta agree, an awful lot of verbosity and purple prose is sometimes unnecessary. That was painful to read, bloated to the point that I was convinced that it had been translated from another language to English by an extremely pompous online translator. :-) This guy has a job waiting for him in Pitchforkmedia reviewing music in their trademark vomit inducing style. No doubt his literary skills far outshine my own, but personally I found that ugly. I ask the author; Wo...
@ Captain Tuttle
So he claims, but he does seem to know an awful lot of the day to day running of the company for an investor and I find a forum a strange place for an investor to take a stand against a failing project, a disgruntled junior employee would seem a little more feasible. Regardless..good read.
I agree jkhan, rules are rules but I don't see how this is less credible than the nobody blogs that one has to sift through on this site. I think the biggest issue with N4G and the upholding of policy is the difference between the open zone and gamer zone comments is almost nonexistent.
Even if this guy is talking crap, its still the closet thing to "news" we've seen on this title for a long time. Spreading FUD or not he sure has an axe to grind with these guys and is ...
I'm getting tired of these articles, LBP is included as part of a bundle with almost every PS3 here in Ireland and I imagine that is the case in many other countries, one way or another its going to have a pretty massive install base by January..no failure in that.
I bought this game for my wife as she had been hinting at wanting a Wii for xmas, which I know would most likely become a dust collector after the initial novelty wore off, she absolutely loves it and we play together most ni...
Judging from the state of the demo at the TGS I assumed that this game was in the very early stages of development, obviously that wasn't the case. I doubt this game will ever see the light of day outside Japan, it looks like a hackneyed snooze fest destined for failure.
In times of necessary frugality I think gaming is one of the better value forms of entertainment available. Most games will entertain upwards of 20 hours while I can drop the same money in a bar/club/restaurant in a matter of hours.
I really think if you take some of the bundles into account that the Ps3 is great value. Here in Ireland HMV are doing a great deal, 80GB PS3 + LBP +FIFA 09 for 400 euros. So essentially if you subtract the value of those titles you are getting the console for 280 euro, a mere 100 euro more than the skeletal 360 Arcade, which is very little extra cash to shell out for an 80GB HD, Blu-Ray, Wi-Fi and out of the box online gaming.
Sony's biggest crime is poor mainstream advertising of the ...
No disrespect to the PS3 but I have yet to see anything on the PS3 that the 360 is not capable of..Gears of War 2 is proving that. I have no doubt that Sony's own studios will create some amazing games in the years to come regardless of the oft touted but unproven technical superiority. As of now I have yet to see any real difference in the platforms and as long as I have GOW 2, Team ICo's offerings etc. to look forward to..I couldn't give a damn.
haha.."hurt my feelings"..hardly. I just don't see the relevance to this post and apparently nobody else does. 0 Approvals.
So the fact its off the mark by a measly 1% is of some importance in your fanboy p*ssing contest. And don't try and deny that allegation, 360 owners have nothing else to play?! Eh what about Gears of War for one and a plethora of 'AAA" multiplatform titles.
I've been toying with the idea for a while but this seals the deal. I will never bother reading another pointless article on gameplayer.au. Absolutely dreadful site, article after article of hacks babbling along making little to no sense.
