Sony with the sweep. Proof that showing actual exclusives is better than a jam packed conference that alienates your brand.
Somy’s WWS are simply on a much higher level. Can’t wait to see God of War or Spider Man win DF’s best technical marvel of the year award
A customizable controller for the physically handicapped. It’s a cool idea.
Hurt my feelings? No, just dissapointed me as a former Xbone S owner. I don’t give two shits about paying them for a product; it’s just sad to see them abuse a brand so badly, and sorry little corporate shills like yourself continue to be okay with it.
PC and Pro. The ultimate combo.
Feel free to name one single game on PS4 where “Pro allows the developer to do things that aren’t possible on other base hardware”. This dev clearly isn’t referring just to added resolution and frames.
Get a decent PC if you don’t already have one. If you do have one, don’t bother. Most useless console ever at that point.
For a portable, 1080p is definitely all you need. Hell, I don’t think even phones will ever need anything above 1080p.
By your logic, we can’t include X or Pro into hardware topics either because not every PS4/ Xbone owner has one of those. If you’re going to talk about X’s high end console status as if it’s somehow the standard, then it’s only fair to factor in PC as well, when talking about a game that’s on both. Even if only one single PC was more powerful than X, that would still mean that’s highest end version of any multiplat.
That’s cool, and I’m glad to hear developers making use of the hardware, but it really is crappy to do that to the 95% of Xbone owners who still play on launch or S models. MS really has thrown those guys to the wind, even though they still make up the vast majority of Xbone purchases even now. So glad i got a PC for any Xbox games I want.
Because physical media going away in favor of digital isn’t going to be a one-by-one process, where different versions of physical format will disappear years before another; it’s basically all going to happen within a close timeframe. Plus, keep in mind that CD’s, DVD’s, Blu Rays, etc., are not nearly as popular as they used to be, due to the services and formats you mentioned. Slowly, but surely, these formats will go away. I’m not saying I agree with it or want it to happen; I’m just facin...
Well, Switch without any extra memory cards holds 32 GB; that’s 1, maybe 2, AAA games depending. I imagine most people aren’t too savvy on having to constantly delete and download, if they don’t buy a memory card lol
Not sure how you’d go about selling a digital copy? Would you be selling it to a friend or back to the publisher? That latter choice would involve expecting companies to take a huge loss on digital game sales, and you know that’s not gonna happen.
I can see that happening. An all digital future does seem kindof inevitable. I doubt it will be anytime soon. Physical sales still far exceed digital, even though the gap is shrinking.
This is why PlayStation is the best place to play.
I wouldn’t call 3DS one of their more successful portables.
I guess, but how much would it cost? A device that small, but more powerful than PS4 couldn’t be cheap. Plus, wouldn’t the screen alone be insanely expensive
A Switch with a 1440p screen, and the hardware to support 1440p at a decent framerate, would be insanely expensive. You’re probably not going to see an affordable handheld that runs above 1080p for another 5 years at least.
Sony’s show wasn’t crap. It just had some segments that werent necessary, namely just the music and talking intermissions. People who think that was bad need to check out shows like MS’s 2013, or Konami’s 2010. Sony stated it wasn’t going to be a show stopper, outside of the awesome exclusives.
