You mean kindof like how Xbox fans are ok with MS cancelling the VR project they promised X would support? I mean it’s another option they can simply opt out of they don’t want it.
Guaranteed if Bethesda wanted cross between PS4 and PC, Sony would be all about it.
Just like MS has a right to black list and deny Steam users cross play with Windows 10 users, Sony has the right turn down console cross play. It’s business, and I’m glad they’re looking out for PlayStation
Not surprising. Bethesda has a history of screwing over PlayStation users with no rhyme or reason, other than the simple fact that they’re butt buddies with MS. I’m honestly surprised they weren’t among the first to take part in MS paying media and developers off to slander Sony over the fake cross play fiasco.
Xbox fans live in a perpetual 1984 version of gaming.
Xbox didn’t make BC mainstream; they simply over-marketed the feature as a means to cover up the fact that their software output has been utter garbage. The thing about BC is it’s not meant to be a defining feature and reason to buy new hardware; only a supplementary feature to having new games that actually push new hardware.
#1: GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS, Wii, Wii U, PS2, PS Vita, and PS3 all say hi.
2: PS Now and Steam say hi
3: Yes, because no other console has catered to gamers before... Totally...
4: PS3 + Linux support says hi
5: PS2 + FFXI/ FFXII hi. We haven’t seen the effects of cross play yet, definitely no proof that it’ll somehow re-shape the console gaming space. If MS were to somehow take the lead in the market and gain 10’s of milli...
This game was incredible. The Build & Battle mechanic, combined with 32 player counts on massive maps, seriously made for one of the best multiplayer experiences ever. I loved how they didn’t make the Hawks super OP like in Warhawk, and there was so much more depth to the combat. Warhawk may be a PS3 classic, but Starhawk was far superior.
The majority? No. Just a select few on the Internet.
Where’s Madden? CoD? BF? AC? Destiny? Metro? Anthem? And that’s only scratching the surface of what they’re missing.
If Switch’s third party support continues to dwindle, there’s no way it’s going to break even 100 million, let alone beat PS4.
Never said I did. But clearly with a 4:1 like to dislike ratio, my opinion is in the majority. Sucks to suck.
I imagine these will be featured in the sequel. It does make me wonder how the sequel will work. Will it use the same over world, but open up the other realms? Or will it be a whole new area entirely? Either way, it’s going to be great.
When Sony promises bigger and better exclusive output, I believe them without a doubt because they’ve always delivered on that front, especially during the later half of each console gen. I can’t say the same about other console brands.
@Naruga It’s true that Zelda featured more on the side of interactivity in the environment, but it was at the cost of the world and models looking very bland. BotW easily has one of the most stale enemy varieties of any Zelda game ever, and the combat looked like there was nothing really to it. Horizon has the far more beautiful and detailed open world, a much better enemy variety, a much better story, and far more satisfying combat. There’s nothing else in gaming that is quite as amazing as ...
It’ll sell to some, but unless Google could launch it with some seriously compelling games, it’ll probably fare about as well as the Steam Machines did.
God forbid some games are deeper than chasing chickens around, or throwing firecrackers at zombies and eating virtual snacks.
It’s a fair statement. OG Xbox did have some great looking games at the time, but the only problem was it barely had any games to really justify the hardware.
But when Phil Spencer spends 5 years saying “the games are coming”, we’re supposed when he still says it, right?
He tries. Give him some credit though; trolling can be an exhausting endeavor.
The industry would be way better off without MS in the picture. They’re basically the reason for every shitty business practice that infects the gaming industry.
