@Skull And yet, they still eventually outsold the competition console that launched over a year earlier, and supposedly had the better online and exclusives.

If the biased media outlets like this one were always right with their “predictions” about Sony, PlayStation brand would’ve died years ago. They seriously overestimate how many people care about cross play, and these scare tactics are getting a extremely pathetic. MS has been running their Sony slandering for almost a year now, yet here we are with the PS4 still holding its spot as the market leader.

More than likely OT will release on PS4 eventually, plus I’d rather Sony not waste any of their first party efforts on a 16-bit graphics style game. It’s far better when they’re making use of the hardware.

Well, you’ve got TLoU2, and possibly another UC, to cover TPS. I agree though, at least one new FPS exclusive would be nice. That, and make another multiplayer focused title.

Maybe if they spent more time developing and optimizing, and less time trying to sue over extremely dumb reasons, they’d be doing a lot better.

Your point is kind of moot, considering Sony does offer cross play with PC; just not other consoles.

Might as well. One of the best MP games ever made. I really miss it...

lol Glad I have my physical copy. Maybe I can sell it and turn a 900% profit lol

They do have cross play, with PC and Mobile. If you want to game with PS4 users on Fortnite, get it on either PS4 or PC. Those are the only relevant online communities anyways.

“It’s only anti-consumer when Sony does it”

The only benefit I can see is that it will finally shut the corporate shill crybabies up, but of course with Sony being the market leader, they’ll immediately find something else to cry about.

Seriously, when MS chose to not even allow a multiplat game on their Netflix box because they didn’t want console crossplay, in this gen no less, there was hardly a peep about, let alone this level of whining from the gaming media. Funny how these people still call themselves “pro-con...

lol More media outlets trying to write Sony off as the villain. Gaming journalism is a joke.

Harsh, but screw it. Make an example of him.

Incoming Blizzard talking about their gender and racial/ cultural origins. Because thats what matters in a video game about killing each other.

@Skull We’ll take that into account next time you Xbox fans are bragging Twitch views on games like Sea of Thieves lol

2905d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well the rhetoric for some reason is that cross play only counts when it’s with Xbox. Even though Sony has been supporting cross play since FFXII on PS2, they’re somehow “anti-crossplay”.

Because open online platform with MS is basically asking for trouble.

Isn’t it weird that the majority of the ones complaining likely don’t even own a PS4, nor will ever purchase one?

Wii was a beast up until around late 2010. It had insane YoY growth, but then fell like a rock during its twilight years, after the motion control fad completely died. Even knowing that, I seriously doubt that Switch will hit Wii numbers. It’ll beat 3DS for sure, but 85 million for it seems to be the sweet spot. Basically PS360 numbers

No, but considering it likely been averaging less than 300K per month worldwide, it’s unlikely it’s above 32 million.
