Going third party would be the best thing for them, financially, at this point. They can still make fantastic games, just on other consoles. They don't have to become like Sega, as long as they stick to doing what they do best and not try to sell to casuals to make a quick buck.
The sad part is once Titanfall 2 comes to PS4 as well as all following sequels, it's pretty much over for the XBone in the exclusives department. Sure they'll still have Halo and Gears, but then what? I say they really only showed off 1 new character. The other 3 were simply characters that were once a separate form of another character made into their own characters. People need to stop going crazy over all this overhyped crap Nintendo has been pulling lately. Their whole presentation yesterday was as bad as their super huge VGX announcement that turned out to be nothing but Cranky Kong.
Of course there is. It's a fantastic game and this will give the people who didn't get the chance to play the PS3 version an opportunity to do so, but on superior hardware and with all the DLC and patches. It's a great deal. Plus, for me personally, I platinumed the PS3 version and wouldn't mind at all doing it again.

Naughty Dog does have free reign. They actually get very little pressure from Sony as a publisher. The Last of Us was actually a result of ND creating a title they always wanted to create, with little from Sony beyond publishing. If any of ND's games were ever forced, they would't all be so great.
Because I was looking for a video game console that is built around playing games. Because it's the most powerful hardware above the competition, and at a lower price. Because I know it will be offering many games over the coming years that I will enjoy. Because I know it won't inevitably fall victim to casual gimmicks. Because I already have a cable box. So the only real complaint so far is about the gameplay. The graphics are phenomenal as well as the cinematic transitions but the gun play needs work. They definitely have plenty of time to tighten that up. They're specifically referring to it as a developer voice for the first game. I guess that means the series could still do like Uncharted did and come with multiplayer in a potential sequel. SP only is perfectly fine, but a game like this has the perfect setup for a MP element. I just hope this game gets the reviews and sales to justify a sequel. There's no reason it won't, but you never know. No multiplayer has a unfortunate negative effect on games these days.
I am still a little disappointed at the lack of MP. The class warfare going on in the story could have made for a perfect setup. Kindof like how ND did the Fireflies vs Hunters in TLoU.
I'm all for the dev putting a lot of heart into the SP element (you really don't get that much nowadays), but TLoU proved to us that a game can have a fantastic MP without negatively affecting the SP element at all. I have a good feeling that this game will be nothing short of amazing...

Anyone who pretended that Killzone render from 2005 was actual gameplay was being naive as hell. It's like claiming that Zelda demonstration from the Wii-U reveal was actual gameplay. It was nothing more than a tech demo showing what could be possible, and honestly, I think Killzone 2 did a pretty good job in matching it, or came very very close in the least. Sony hasn't pulled anything like that since.
