Yep, I'll bet Lukas' right nut on it, too.
It's difficult to give Greenberg the benefit of the doubt time after time, to be in his position he must have a deep understanding of the technical side of his company's products, yet the things he comes out with sometimes feel disingenuous ("You realize you will see every game as 1080P" for instance).
Another problem people have with him is that he often lacks class in his statements. It's easy to put down a competitor to attempt to make your product lo...
War. War never changes.
It was last summer, Here in EU it was the same month as Battlefield 3 and Payday: The Heist.
@Tedakin Not everyone has played every game from the previous generation. Personally I bought but never got around to playing the Mass Effect games so would like the opportunity to do so on my new console. GTA5 I never bought, I just waited for the port to newer hardware. Tomb Raider was one I missed out on and picked up digitally for half price in a flash sale. Some of us are happy we have the opportunity to play these games early in the new console lifecycles when new releases are in shorte...
@christoculus "That doesnt change my point"
It kind of does, because the topic at hand is "Microsoft Game Studios family has the same project diversity as Sony".
Let's have some kind of context here... Amazon's current best sellers chart is of little use unless comparing a similar item released at a similar time. For a real picture, look at Amazon's 2014 sales chart: MK8 is 99 in the top 100 sellers of the year so far. Therefore, no real story to be told.

Not sure I've ever learned anything new on a shopto podcast, there's also a lot of cookie-cutter commentary, very rarely anything insightful in the discussion.
Don't waste time and money making podcasts, shopto, just go back to offering great value games like you used to do so well.
Even being a Gold Member right now, I can get pretty much every new game cheaper between just regular old Amazon, Zavvi and Game. Every time.
Simply the best game I've played in a long time.
Really enjoying the Grandia-like battle system with real-time/action aspects overlayed onto the turn-based combat, feels really well polished, and the difficulty level on Hard is, while it's not really hard, is just challenging enough to prevent it becoming simply a routine walk-through and keeps it worthwhile.
Looks great, even on a poor Instagram video.
"Summer"
Game is getting lots of 9s and 10s, know what I'll be doing tomorrow!
Well that's one way to look at it. The other would be "we're selling pretty much all we can make all the time - let's make hay while the sun shines". No need to create further demand for the console the way it is selling.
And it's going to be a looooooong Summer.
Meanwhile... remind me which platform holder is about to cut back or halt production due to a surfeit of unsaleable consoles...

Of course microsoft could offer streamed games if they wanted to and invested in that, and who knows, it might be the saviour of the platform if they decide to ship their boxes on the cheap and increase the price of a membership for a live-with-streaming service. But so far they have not said they will, only that their services can make the xbox one more powerful by offloading compute tasks to what you refer to "billions of dollars hardware". Stream...

7. "Is Sony running Gaikai on their own server center" PS Now will be in the US, Japan & Korea and the EU by this time next year. It's not so much a matter of the server centres, but what hardware they have in place running the games to deliver the service... you might have seen stacks of retail ps3s in photos from the past - that's not what it'll be! They have developed new ps3 hardware for this. 8 super-streamlined ps3s on one boar...
1. Of course, if you have a poor net connection, the cloud is going to do very little for you in terms of remote compute, no matter whose services you look at. If that's the case, you're looking in the wrong place for your entertainment.
2. "only part of it is slow vs, the entire game is slow like Gaikai if you have internet problems?". If you have Internet problems, you're using the wrong services no matter who provides them.

@NewMonday I think it's on xbone as well.
I thought it would look more sci-fi than that.
Really it's the slow DDR3 that's the bottleneck, the esram's inclusion was intended to alleviate the problem. But it's insufficient, as you said, due to its 32mb size - it's not nearly as effective as the edram in the 360, for example.
