FFT is fun for what it is, but the depth and humour of Disgaea games sets them apart from, well, anything else I can think of.
Love the Disgaea games from the moment I popped the original into my ps2... but replaying on Vita... I simply don't have the hours to use on them, I didn't even have the time to get the Platinum on D4 for ps3.
Looking forward to those JRPGs!
As for seeing it coming - Andrew House did, he practically said as much in the ps4 reveal back in February, we were just too busy waiting for ps4 info :)
"...the OS and chip-set inside PlayStation Vita is so powerful, we think it could bring significant value to gamers' living room experiences. We know the potential for expanding PlayStation Vita to the living room is real and promises to deliver amazing gameplay and m...
Not judging anything off those photos, especially ones where the two units are not in the same frame at the same time.
It might just have something to do with them being funded by Microsoft... call me a tin-foil-hat-wearing conspiracy theorist, but I'll go out on that limb...
@hazardman Opinions are fine, they're what we want. Opinions stated as facts, not so useful.
Calm down otherZinc, no need for shouty ;-)
"1080P" can mean all kinds of things. "1080P native" means 1920x1080. I'm not sure FMS5 is running at that resolution, but we will find out in time.
There are a number of ways to approach screen resolution and refresh vs content detail and there are simple ways to achieve 1080P@60Hz gameplay, basically by keeping things on the simple side, less detail, less post processing, cutting corners an...
If BF4 is running poorly that's a problem for the devs, not a problem of the hardware. Both Microsoft and Sony have shown much more impressive examples of games than what you suggest.
Whatever, you can't expect maximum performance day one on consoles, that's not how it works.
@Eonjay TBF that's correct, but the site is a PS site so they're not interested in xbox or wii, but presented here it looks skewed. I'm sure that wasn't the intention.
How many games have we seen running on both consoles? Exactly - none. The longer this goes on, the more the war of words will continue.
@2cents That's unfair. It's not about being a "superior race" it's about getting to the truth through a set of figures that don't look realistic - which makes the Microsoft PR guy Panello look like he's attempting to pull the wool over people's eyes.
You can't blame Sony and ps4 fans for believing their chosen format is more powerful when the numbers we've had over the past 6 months point to exactly that, when developers give little h...
Exactly. The esram might well be read-write at the same time, but the best case scenario throughput figures they offer are not realistic in use, they are a theoretical maximum in utterly unrealistic real world conditions.
@Septic Fair enough to a point, but he should never have gone there in the first place as he has about as much technical understanding of those figures as all the armchair techsperts out there - ie very little.
I believe there's a 30%-50% raw graphics processing power disparity between the machines and that there are ways and means for the xbox one to compete and also that 3rd parties will set the bar suitably low to ensure parity. but I base that on the full extent of my...

I went to the page on the Japanese psg blog and found the post quoted above, google translate didn't come out with quite the same translation and it's an ill-conceived post anyway - certainly not one worth quoting out of many hundreds (there were only 7 or 8 posts that even mentioned Xbox One, mostly those were saying that it's right to for Sony to be strong against it in regions where it counts or that there isn't even a date for Xbox One, but AFAICT this was the only one tha...
And the PS Vita TV surely cushions the blow.
Would have been interesting to see how well it did with more stock. It managed to reach #5 on the bestsellers list (4th in movers & shakers) behind MH4, GT6LE, a very japanese Vita game and God Eater 2 Vita Fenrir SE console.
hah, it always pays to actually read the article. anyway, what actually did happen to the kid in the video, or his parent at least?
The person who came up with the rumour is still at it and is all fired up for exactly the same reason you posted above - the ludicrous "no additional dGPU" stuff - beware!
Here's what else Panello had to say:
" Our peak on paper is 272gb/sec. (68gb/sec DDR3 + 204gb/sec on ESRAM)... So if you're saying you can't add bandwidth - you can. If you want to dispute that ESRAM has simultaneous read/write cycles - it does." - he's a...

Not everyone enjoys their job, let alone thinks it's the best one in their particular field.
Follow his tweets, get an idea of what his day-to-day work involves, then tell me he's not all kinds of awesome. He's exactly the kind of employee any company would love to have on their side.
